The other person smiled gently, "No matter what her family is like, I will treat her as well as I do now. Baby, just trust me."
Eve Sherman instantly recognized it as nonsense, but Zoe Sawyer seemed entranced, her face blooming with a smile.
"With those words, I'm at ease, hubby. I hope you'll always remember what you said today in the future."
"Of course."
The two of them openly showed affection, as if no one else was around. Eve Sherman felt so uncomfortable she thought she might upset her stomach at dinner tonight.
It was really unbearable.
Wyatt Crawford quickly finished cooking and felt that this wasn't going anywhere, eager to eat and send this person off. On the dining table, Zoe Sawyer kept thanking him.
"Wyatt, thank you for giving me a hundred thousand without hesitation in my time of need. Rest assured, when my husband's career succeeds, I'll repay you double."
Wyatt forced a smile, "Mm-hm, sure."
If he ever got a penny back, he'd be thanking the heavens.
