The gossip has been ongoing for several days now.
"I know, I'll ask President Sutton for leave and just have my wages docked. You go back and rest; I don't have much going on this morning, I've already handed everything off to my assistant."
Cecilia Morgan finally breathed a sigh of relief, "That's good, then I won't say much more. You're an adult now; you can make your own decisions."
"Okay, Mom."
After seeing off Cecilia, Eve Sherman sat by the hospital bed, heated up some water, and carefully wiped Mrs. Sherman's arms with a warm towel.
"Grandma, I really don't want to see you lying in the hospital bed anymore, I'm truly scared."
Ever since Eve Sherman started working, Mrs. Sherman would frequently be admitted to the hospital. Given her old age, her health was becoming increasingly frail, and even a minor cold could knock her over. Eve's memories were filled with countless days spent at the hospital.
