Chapter 273 - Chapter 275: Rob Seius

He believed the world didn't need a single authority ruling everything.

Because no ruler—

No god—

Was wise or humble enough to deserve absolute control.

At sixteen, Iku secretly assisted the revolutionary army, forming strong ties with Raphe Montclair. It's said he inspired Raphe to create the revolution in the first place.

A rookie pirate, Ryuta Konan, was rising across the seas at the same time—another friend of Iku. Ryuta said, "Iku was the dearest friend I ever had."

By now, everything had been revealed to the dominion. By the queen herself. Tonight was inevitable.

Back to Ashyrn's backstory

Iru stood frozen, his body trembling, hands bloodied, face lifted to the stormy sky. Behind him, a celestial being appeared alongside a V.D agent—Rob Seius.

Rob's voice sliced through the tense silence.

"What are you doing, Iru?"

Iru didn't turn. "None of your business, madman," he said, voice breaking.

The walkie-talkie buzzed.

"Oi, you're not doing a sloppy job, are you? What's happening?"

Tears streamed down Iru's face. He slammed his fist on the deck, collapsing to his knees. His glasses slid off as he screamed, voice raw with despair.

"You bastard! What do you want?!"

The walkie-talkie hissed back coldly, "How are you talking to me?"

"I… you wouldn't understand," Iru sobbed, gripping it like a lifeline. "You've never killed a friend… someone dear to you… like a brother!"

He slammed the walkie-talkie onto the ground, the crack echoing across the ocean. Without another word, he sprinted to the cliff's edge, waves crashing beneath him. Rob Seius shouted, panic sharp in his voice,

"Darn you, bastard!"

Iru hurled himself into the darkness. The ocean swallowed him instantly, cold and merciless, dragging him down into its deepest abyss.
