Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Activated

Sunny's POV

When I arrived at the cave and led the primitive humans outside, I decided to demonstrate something—something that might spark a sense of innovation within them. Picking up a stone, a sturdy branch, and a vine, I crafted a spear right before their eyes.

They watched in silence, wide-eyed and trembling. I could feel their awe and fear mixing in the air. Good. Fear was a beginning—respect would follow.

As I finished the spear, I noticed a massive elephant in the distance. Without hesitation, I hurled the weapon. The spear cut through the air with divine precision and struck the creature down in one blow. The crowd gasped in amazement.

That should inspire them for a while, I thought.

But when I glanced at my status window, I noticed my Faith Points were almost depleted. "Tch, already?" I muttered to myself.

Earlier, I had already examined their statuses. Most were unremarkable, possessing only basic survival skills. Yet, among them, two boys caught my attention.

One was strong—his body radiated raw potential. His talent was rare among mortals: Super Strength (C-Grade). He was the one I had chosen to become their first leader. The foundation of a new race must start with power.

But then there was another one—

A strange boy with white hair.

His ability was slightly weaker, just one tier lower, but still impressive: Swordsman (D-Grade). There was something… different about him. Something that didn't belong in this world. I couldn't quite place it, but my curiosity stirred. What will this one become?

Still, my focus returned to the boy I had already chosen.

"You will be called Thorn," I declared. The sound of my voice echoed through their primitive minds like a command from the heavens. I bestowed upon him the spear I had created, feeling my Faith Points drop even further.

I'll run out soon, I realized.

So, before I completely exhausted my remaining energy, I manifested one final weapon—a sword, glowing faintly with divine light. I let it hover before the white-haired boy.

"That one is yours," I said softly, almost fondly.

My form began to fade, my power retreating back. Just before vanishing, I glanced once more at the white-haired boy.

What a pity… I thought.

I was about to give him a name.

Then, the light consumed me, and I disappeared from Veridia.

When the MC Vanished

Leo still couldn't believe what had just happened.

He stood there frozen, his mind struggling to process everything. Did that really happen? He had just witnessed the main character of Global Gods: Skill Resonance Awakened—Sunny—in person. Not only that, but Sunny had spoken to him… and even given him a sword.

Without hesitation, Leo reached out and grabbed the glowing weapon. The moment his fingers touched the hilt, the light surrounding it faded instantly, as if acknowledging his ownership. A strange warmth coursed through his body, spreading from his hand to every vein and muscle.

He felt… strong.

No—alive.

It was as though something deep within him had begun to awaken. What is this feeling? he thought, gripping the sword tighter. His heartbeat quickened.

Meanwhile, the primitive humans around him were celebrating wildly, chanting the name of the new leader, Thorn, whom Sunny had just blessed. Though they were frightened at first, the moment they saw the divine being slay an elephant with a single throw, their fear turned into worship.

Now, they surrounded Thorn in excitement, praising his new title. Some of them, however, gathered around Leo, their wide eyes fixed on the sword in his hand. They seemed to believe that he, too, had been blessed by the same being.

Leo sighed internally. Great… now they're all staring at me like I'm some kind of miracle.

Still, he stayed quiet. If he had said anything earlier, who knew what could've happened? This was the world of Global Gods, after all—the protagonist might've dissected him just for being different.

A chill ran down his spine at the thought, but he forced a laugh to calm himself.

"Ha… ha… yeah, no way that's happening," he muttered under his breath.

Then—

[Ding!]

A mechanical voice echoed in his mind.

[System Activated]

Leo's eyes widened.

"Wait… what???" he blurted out in disbelief.
