A couple weeks go by and it's finally the first day of work, opening night is definitely going to be crazy. I put on my uniform, make sure I got everything I need and my phone is fully charged and then head out. I arrive and head to the security booth, a little office with my own personal bathroom, computer and a walkie talkie. I grab the walkie talkie and clip it to my pocket and decide to walk around and see where everything is at and get the feel for the place before everything starts. I'm walking the grounds and see some of the different houses, there's one that's definitely a dark carnival theme, a haunted asylum, and few others that look pretty cool and some of the actors are walking around in their full makeup and costumes, heading to their respective houses. As im walking around a guy in a plague doctor costume comes up to me
"Hey what's up!?"
"What's up?"
He takes off the mask and it's a white guy close to his thirties with brown hair
"You must be the new security guard?"
"Yeah I am"
"Cool, I'm Zeke. I'm one of the scare actors that walks around the place"
"Jay"
"Nice to meet you Jay, you're going to have fun working here"
"I hope so, I love this type of stuff"
"So do I, been working for Sonny for the last few years"
"Damn so this has been around for years, never heard of it"
"We used to be in Georgia, but we decided it was time to move and we ended up here"
"Hmmm makes sense"
"Opening night is one of the busiest nights, you ready?"
"Ready as I'll ever be"
"Good, usually there's no problems but you never know"
"Yeah true that"
Just then I see someone that catches my eye. A girl in what looks like clown makeup, painted red nose and smile across her lips onto her cheeks, and the typical makeup on her eyes. she's short with dark hair thats put up into two buns, she's wearing thigh high socks that hug onto her thick thighs, and she's wearing the basic clown girl outfit with the skirt that has blood splattered all over it. I'm not into clowns but she looks sexy as fuck, zeke catches me staring and looks over and back at me.
"Caught you staring man"
"Huh? Oh my bad she just caught my attention"
"Don't sweat it, that's Cherry, she's part of the dark carnival section. She catches alot of people's attention"
"Oh I bet"
"Yeah this is her third year here with us, never seen her take off the make up or step out of character"
"Wait really?"
"Yeah, she's super committed, but she's chill."
"Im not really into clowns but I think that's starting to change. I can't wait to meet her"
Zeke starts laughing a little
"What's so funny?"
"She doesn't give anyone the time of day, most you'll get is probably a wave if you're lucky"
"We'll see about that"
"Anyways shows about to start, maybe we'll catch up after"
"Yeah maybe, hit me up if there's any problems"
Zeke puts his mask back on and heads over to his area and I head back to the shack as the event is about to get started. The first event of the season begins and the place is packed, word must've spread fast. So far everything is going good, people look like they're having a good time and getting the shit scared out of them, the actors are doing their thing, music playing and the smell of food vendors in the air just makes everything perfect, if I wasn't working I would definitely be doing something like this. As the night goes on I'm checking the cameras and doing small patrols around the place just making sure everything is safe, then I get a call from the radio it's Mr. Hill
"Jay you there?"
I grab the walkie talkie and respond
"Yeah I'm here"
"Can you head over to the dark carnival section, we have a drunk asshole harassing Cherry"
"I'm on it, do I just escort him off?"
"Yeah"
"What if he tries to get aggressive?"
"Do what you got to do, then call me and we'll take the next step"
"Alright I'm heading over"
I head over to the dark carnival section and see a guy clearly drunk and can barely stand trying to talk to Cherry.
"Ayyye sexy, what you say me and you head to my place"
Cherry ignores him and tries to stay in character but I can tell she's trying not to show how uncomfortable she is. I walk up and get in between them
"Excuse me sir, but can you please leave her alone?"
"Who the fuck are you?!"
He looks at me and sees my shirt
"Security?!? Get the fuck out of my face, I'm trying to talk to this sexy ass clown here"
He tries to get closer to Cherry and I put my arm out
"Yeah that's enough I need you to start walking"
"I'll tell you when it's enough fuck face!"
He puts a finger into my chest as he says this, that's when I slam him down to the ground and hold him down and call on the walkie talkie
"Yeah this guy just tried to touch me so I took him down"
"I'm on my way"
A minute later Mr. Hill and two other biker looking guys arrive and pick the drunk guy up, one of the guys handcuffs him and they escort him away. I look at Cherry and she gives a little smile as to say thank you before she walks away. Hill comes up to me and puts a hand on my shoulder
"You alright?"
"Yeah I'm good, nothing I couldn't handle"
"I can see that, day one and you're already showing I made the right choice to hire you!"
"That's what I'm here for, so what do we do with him?"
"Don't worry we're taking him to a holding place until the cops can pick his ass up"
"Oh ok, want me to come with you guys?"
"No you're good, just keep doing what you're doing we got this taken care of"
"Alright"
Mr. Hill gives me a nod and walks off, I dust myself off and head back to the security office to rest for a little bit after that. Time passes quickly and before I know it guests are already filing out as the event is wrapping up for the night. As I'm doing my last little bit of work Mr. Hill walks into the office
"So how was the first day?"
"Aside from that drunk dickhead, I loved it"
"Glad to hear it. Everyone is going to have a little celebration after this to kick off the new season, you should come"
"You sure?"
"Yeah why not, get to know everyone"
"Sure, where at?"
"Behind the grounds we have our trailers and campers set up, so just head back there."
"Sure, I'll be there"
"Cool, also there's a extra trailer I have for our guard, so you don't have to go back and forth the whole weekend"
"Alright well I don't have any clothes but maybe starting tomorrow night I can stay there and head back to campus after Sundays shift"
"Sounds good, see you in a little bit"
"Oh wait"
"What's up?"
"What happened to that guy?"
"Oh yeah, cops came and got him"
"Oh ok, I'll see you in a bit"
Hill walks out and I just sit in the office until it was time to clock out. I put the walkie talkie to charge and grab my things before locking up the office. The first day was pretty good, now it's time to meet some new people and chill for a little bit.
