As the Harpies began working, I opened my skill and chose to add a new drone. It was an air drone, and one that could play a more close-air-support role than the Hap. Taking the model of the Apache helicopter and doing some remodeling, nothing too big, just enough to increase the ammo for the 30mm M230 chain gun.
It would stay mostly the same on the outside, but the inside and tech will be upgraded to my standards, giving them better optics, targeting systems, and a whole new flight control system built for AI piloting. They will still use the Hellfire missiles and the Hydra 70 rocket pods as their other armaments. With the amount of mana I had, making three hundred of them wasn't an issue.
I had leveled up my creation ability along with the blessing, making everything I make that isn't magic cost only 20% of its original price. As I finished making them, I drank a potion to begin arming them while I absorbed crystals. The Harpies had finished by lunchtime, so I allowed them to go back.
They had become noticeably stronger since yesterday. Probably from the crystals and the small amount of experience they got from my kills. I mean, I killed millions of zombies; it would be odd if they hadn't gotten stronger. I wanted more epic rank, if not legendary, Harpies, by the time I reached the demon's land.
As I refilled my mana, I made 500 worker drones capable of picking up one crystal each and ordered the transport drones to the front to allow the worker drones to fill them. As they flew off and the transport drones drove away, I smiled at the 500,000 crystals in my storage space.
Working on expanding my drones and replacing and expanding my ammo throughout the day. It was five in the afternoon when I stopped and looked at my list now.
Artorias Units(5.56 Mini Gun drone): 5,000
Alexander Units(.50 cal tri barrel gattling gun drone): 5,000
Caesar Units(20mm vulcan gun drone): 5,000
Ulysses Units(120mm battle drone): 1,500
Nepoalon Units(120mm mortar drone): 1,500
Lee Units(MLRS Rocket and Missile Artillery drone): 1,000
Hap Units(Close air support aircraft drone): 1,000
Apache Units(Close air support helicopter drone): 500
Recon Drones: 1,500
Worker Drones: 500
Transport Drones: 100
I had claimed all the crystals from the zombies I killed, bringing my total to 2,748,569. With this amount, I won't need to worry about increasing my mana anymore, letting me make more and more drones at a lower price. Feeling ready for the night, I switched up the formation, bringing them in closer as I put more mines out this time.
As the sun went down, I started playing music as my recon drones flew out, but no zombies showed up. Telling me the Emperor didn't want to have anything to do with me, or he was unsure how to handle me now. Well, I wouldn't let a peaceful night go by as I lay on the pool chair and closed my eyes.
If he were going to let me get some sleep, then I would take him up on the offer. Sleeping soundly through the night until the sun came up, making me scuff, as I was hoping to add more crystals just in case. But I just stored the mines and my drones before summoning a dune buggy; it was the best vehicle for this type of area and the land of the dead.
It had a mounted Mk 19 grenade launcher on top. I stocked up ten cans of ammo for it, along with one already on it. Just in case anything wanted to get spicy with me. Driving off as I lit a smoke, I had a lot of ground to cover today.
As I was driving through the wastelands back in Luneth. Yavanna stood before a door as someone spoke to her. "How is she?" Luthien asked her mother. "She isn't eating very much; she is so young and had to go through something so horrible," Yavanna said, tears running down her face as she walked away.
Luthien looked at the door to her youngest sister; she hadn't talked to them since she was saved. It was like she was empty inside. Knocking on the door as she spoke, "Sister, it's Luthien. I am coming in," She said, entering the dimly lit room, seeing a girl sitting on the bed, curled up.
"Can I take a seat next to you?" She asked. The girl just nodded as Luthien climbed onto the bed and moved next to her, hugging her as she spoke. "You won't suffer like that again, I promise. We have someone protecting us now." Luthien said, making the girl move her toes.
"It's this, Sir Colt. How can you trust a human male?" She said, shaking a little, making Luthien sigh. "He isn't perfect, that is for sure. And yes, he can be lustful. But it isn't like those men in the Warish Empire; he has his limits in how he does things with sex. But not so much when killing." She said, remembering the slaughter that happened at the Warish capital.
"But still.." Her sister muttered, hiding her face. "I don't need you to believe me, just trust me. He will show you that he can protect us. After all, he is challenging Azel." Luthien said, making her sister lift her head, and was shocked. "Why would he do that?" The little girl wanted to know.
Luthien chuckled at her sister's shocked face as she began to explain everything about me. As I sped off through the dusty wastelands, fate started to turn its wheels across the vast ocean.
Inside a jade corridor, a soldier walked to a door and knocked. "Great traveler, the emperor desires to meet with you." The soldier said. "You may come in." A voice said as the soldier entered through the jade door, he was greeted by the sight of a woman on a bed and an 18-year-old getting up.
This was the otherworlder that had washed up on the empire's shores a month ago. "What does the Emperor desire of me? I was busy enjoying the jade flowers." The teen said. "It is about attacking the Golden continent next year." Said the guard, making the teen stretch.
"That's the one the Raising Dragon Continent failed at conquering last year?" The teen asked; he had been gifted with a dual cultivation and sword ability and had gained a name for his power. The Emperor even gifted a few of his daughters to him through marriage; he was living the easy life.
"Very well, it's not like anyone can stop me." He said with pride as the girls finished dressing him, and he followed the soldier. Following him to a golden door, he entered as he slightly bowed to the Emperor.
"How may I be of service to his emperor?" The teen asked. Making the Emperor play with his beard. "Come, Alex Choi, have a seat." As the Emperor said, a few maids came into the room and put tea onto a table as the others started to dance.
"I plan to invade the Golden Continent next year. My goal is to claim the strongest Legendary being as a woman for my harem." He said, and Alex raised an eyebrow. "Is she worth the struggle, Emperor?" Alex said, doubting the need to go this far, making the Emperor smirk. "The moment I laid eyes on her, I wanted to push her onto a bed and claim her. If killing the people of her land forces her to give in, then I am more than willing to do it." He said with a wicked grin.
Alex shrugged and nodded. "If Father-in-Law desires this woman, then I will help you claim her; no one can stand before our power after all those on the Golden Continent use inferior magic and don't have the blessing to use cultivation." Alex has always been an Asian Supremacist, even back on Earth.
"I will kill everyone not like us, as that is the natural law, as we are superior." He said, taking a sip of his drink and putting it down. "I knew I could count on you, Alex." The Emperor said, clapping his hands as the maids started to undress as they danced slowly. "Enjoy this gift. I must attend to court matters." The Emperor said, standing up and leaving.
As the Emperor left the room, he scuffed. "This child is foolish, blinded by his own power. But that makes him easy to use. Throw some women at him, and he will do anything." He said, walking away.
Back at the wastelands, it started to get darker, and I parked, summoning my drones in a circle and ordering them to shoot anything that got close to the area. As I lay on the hood of the dune buggy, absorbing a crystal, looking at the stars. Mrs. Watson flashing inside my mind, soon. I will be coming to get you.
