Inside the Dragon Abyss Auction Pavilion.
In a luxurious private chamber, Liu Xi sat at the center, a faint smile on his lips as he lifted a cup of fragrant spiritual tea. Every so often, he took a small sip, enjoying its subtle aroma.
Beside him, Bodhisattva sat gracefully, delicately picking up a beautifully crafted pastry. He took slow bites, savoring the flavor—a rare experience after countless years of solitude.
After swallowing, he praised softly, "This food is soft and sweet… unexpectedly delightful."
Liu Xi chuckled. "There are many delicious things in this world. When our strength grows, we'll roam the Great Thousand Worlds together—eat everything worth tasting under heaven."
He regarded Bodhisattva as a companion, never once considering binding his freedom. If he wished to explore the world, he would support him without hesitation.
"Mm." Bodhisattva, whose features mirrored Liu Xi's like a gentle twin, nodded with a soft smile.
"Master, she's arrived," Old Monster Xuan Pao said respectfully from the side.
"Let her in." Liu Xi nodded.
A moment later, a woman in elegant palace robes stepped gracefully into the room. Her figure was slender and alluring, every movement as fluid as a lotus swaying in the breeze.
Her beauty was breathtaking—an oval face with willow-like brows and eyes as clear and seductive as spring water. When her rosy lips curved into a warm smile, it carried a charm that could melt even the hardest heart.
Her voice, gentle and melodious, filled the chamber. "Greetings, sirs and senior. This little woman is Zhao Yuanyuan, manager of the Dragon Abyss Auction Pavilion. May I ask what great business you've brought? Whatever it is, the Pavilion will ensure you receive a satisfactory price."
Her eyes shimmered as she glanced at Liu Xi and Bodhisattva. The two looked nearly identical, their auras vast and unfathomable—filling her with an overwhelming sense of danger.
Though Zhao Yuanyuan herself was a Lower Earth Sovereign, her position as the Pavilion's manager wasn't earned through beauty alone. Her strength and insight were formidable.
Her gaze flickered discreetly toward Xuan Pao, the only one whose cultivation she could perceive. A Perfect Earth Sovereign—such beings ruled entire regions. Yet he stood here like a servant. That alone spoke volumes about the power or status of his master.
Her attention returned to Liu Xi—the one seated in the center. Young, handsome, calm, and immeasurably strong.
Liu Xi casually waved his hand, removing several Storage Bangles from his wrist and tossing them to Zhao Yuanyuan with a faint smile. "These contain the treasures I wish to trade. I trust your Dragon Abyss Pavilion can handle them. If not, feel free to share the burden with other branches—I'd rather not waste time running around."
"Very well, allow me to take a look first."
Zhao Yuanyuan's jade-like hands caught the bangles with ease. She sent her spiritual perception into them—and froze. Her eyes widened, lips parting slightly in shock.
"T-these are…"
Inside lay mountains of artifacts—spiritual tools, divine weapons, luxurious garments, and ornate jewelry, each radiating dense Spiritual Energy. None were ordinary.
There were also scrolls containing divine techniques and arts.
Only rare spirit herbs and minerals were absent; Liu Xi intended to keep those. The herbs were valuable for refining pills, and the ores—he would someday forge them into an Peerless Saint Artifact.
Every great clan and ancient faction possessed such a supreme treasure. If Liu Xi wished to stand among them, he too would need one that belonged to him alone.
"Sir…" Zhao Yuanyuan raised her head carefully, concern flickering in her eyes. These items couldn't possibly have come from any ruin. Some bore cracks, others faint traces of blood.
In short—high-risk goods.
"May I ask… where did these treasures come from?"
Liu Xi, seeing the hesitation in her eyes, smiled faintly and took a sip of tea. "Don't worry. They were compensation—clean enough in origin. If anyone dares question it, they'll come after me, not you. All you need to answer is this—can you take them, or not?"
Her teeth bit gently at her lip as her mind raced. The items varied in value, but even a conservative estimate promised enormous profit. The risk, however, was undeniable.
After a long pause, she smiled sweetly. "Sir, these treasures are worth at least a hundred billion Sovereign Spiritual Liquid. I'll need time to appraise and allocate the payment. But we cannot possibly gather so much liquid at once. Would you consider a trade—item for item?"
Liu Xi nodded. He knew the Pavilion couldn't pay in liquid alone; the total value exceeded two hundred billion. Only by plundering an entire continent—as he had—could such wealth be amassed.
If any single faction truly paid that sum, collapse would follow soon after.
"Fine. Spiritual herbs, rare minerals, Peerless Saint Artifacts, or Peerless Divine Abilities—any of those will do."
Zhao Yuanyuan's smile stiffened. That demand bordered on impossible. The Pavilion could find rare materials, yes—but Peerless Saint Artifacts or Divine Abilities? Even if they had them, no one would dare bring such things out for trade.
"Understood. Please allow me some time to evaluate and arrange matters. You may wait here, or, if you wish, attend the auction downstairs."
"Very well." Liu Xi agreed easily. Strength was the greatest security—he wasn't worried about betrayal. If the Pavilion dared swallow his goods, he'd simply raze it to the ground.
Zhao Yuanyuan gave him a grateful glance. For someone dealing in treasures worth over a hundred billion, his calm trust was astonishing.
As she left, she bit her lip and turned back several times, casting lingering looks over her shoulder—her eyes full of charm.
Old Monster Xuan Pao watched her leave and gave a lewd grin. "Master, one look from you and that little beauty will climb into your bed tonight."
Bodhisattva gave Liu Xi a knowing look. Having gained true sentience after his Spirit Convergence, his emotions were rich—and his observation sharp. Zhao Yuanyuan was indeed a rare enchantress, her every glance laced with allure that could drive most men mad.
Liu Xi stretched lazily and smiled. "I already have a family. Fleeting affairs bring nothing but trouble. Let's go see what the auction has to offer."
