"This is the Merchant Continent! It truly looks far more prosperous than the West Heaven Continent."
Liu Xi stood in the air, gazing toward the bustling landmass in the distance, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
Beside him, the black-robed Old Monster Xuan Pao bowed deeply, arms hanging loosely, face full of gloom. "Yes, Master," he replied respectfully. "The Merchant Continent is one that thrives entirely on commerce. Across this land stand countless auction houses, and though the continent itself is not vast, its fame echoes through the entire Great Thousand Worlds."
"In comparison, our West Heaven Continent is far more closed off, its powers wary of outsiders. Naturally, our renown cannot compare to the brilliance of the Merchant Continent."
Liu Xi nodded slowly. In the West Heaven Continent, he had acquired tens of billions of Sovereign Spiritual Liquid, along with countless divine arts and treasures. Now, he needed a proper place to… offload them.
Well—perhaps not "offload." He was, after all, a weak, helpless, and innocent victim merely seeking to exchange some "compensation" for Sovereign Spiritual Liquid.
A place capable of handling the treasures in his possession would have to be one where trade flourished at the highest level. Lesser auction houses weren't even worth his time.
The Merchant Continent, however, was said to live by the motto: "With enough Sovereign Spiritual Liquid, you can buy anything under heaven." A bold claim—yet one that revealed the depth of this continent's foundation.
It would no doubt have the means to digest all of Liu Xi's inventory at once, saving him the annoyance of multiple transactions.
Thus, Liu Xi departed for the Merchant Continent, bringing along Bodhisattva and the subdued Old Monster Xuan Pao. The Bodhisattva Ancient Tree's true body had naturally been retracted into Bodhisattva's care. As a heaven-and-earth divine existence, its essence served as Bodhisattva's true body, capable of channeling his supreme, sacred power.
As for Xuan Pao, he now bore Liu Xi's Flame Slave Imprint. The man had neither kin nor cause, and his habit of shouting threats at Liu Xi made him perfect as a guide. Killing him outright would have been too lenient.
Across the West Heaven Continent, stories of Liu Xi's exploits had already spread like wildfire. His reputation was summarized in a single phrase—"Pluck the bird, skin the beast."
His name had become synonymous with terror. Travelers avoided night roads for fear of running into the "Stripping Demon" who left even goddesses with nothing but their undergarments.
Of course, no one knew his true name.
After two months of travel, they finally arrived. Along the way, Liu Xi had experienced for the first time the wonder of Spatial Transmission Arrays.
In the Great Thousand Worlds, the distance between continents was unimaginably vast. Even an Earth Sovereign who could tear through space might lose their way without coordinates. Only by using a master-crafted Spiritual Array anchored by spatial coordinates could one travel safely between continents.
During the journey, Liu Xi also sorted through his spoils. The bulk was Sovereign Spiritual Liquid, through which his strength had risen to the peak of High Earth Sovereign—only a single opportunity away from reaching Perfect Earth Sovereign.
As for divine arts and techniques below the level of Divine Ability, he didn't bother glancing at them.
In the Great Thousand Worlds, Divine Abilities were classified as: Minor, Major, Grand Perfection, Quasi-Peerless, and the highest—the Thirty-Six Peerless Divine Abilities.
Among his collection, there were only Minor and Major Divine Abilities, none reaching Grand Perfection. Still, a few were interesting—like Thunder-Driving, Lightning-Commanding, a Divine Ability for controlling thunder, or Call Wind, Summon Rain, which sounded grand but was purely supportive.
Another, the incomplete Star-Bearing Moon-Wearing, could push speed to its limit—relatively speaking.
None were supreme, but all were intriguing.
As for treasures, there were no true saintly artifacts, but plenty of divine weapons—Blood God Arm, Strength God Gauntlet, Bone Demon Battle Armor, Pitying Moon Sword, Eerie Wind Pouch… and many others of every imaginable type. Unfortunately, none suited his use.
"Let's go, Bodhisattva."
With hands clasped behind his back, Liu Xi smiled faintly and shot forward through the air.
Bodhisattva followed closely, eyes filled with curiosity. After endless eras of solitude, he had never witnessed such lively prosperity.
Old Monster Xuan Pao trailed behind, silent. For a being once of Perfect Earth Sovereign strength, following a Heavenly Sovereign was no humiliation. He could only hope that serving this master wouldn't turn him into cannon fodder—and perhaps, just perhaps, he might seize another chance to rise.
Thus, he remained utterly obedient, answering every question with sincerity. Bringing Liu Xi to the Merchant Continent was at least a service rendered in earnest.
The trio flew swiftly, their power shrouding all presence. With Heaven and Earth Energy circulating around them, not a trace of aura leaked; to outside eyes, they were invisible.
Before long, they arrived outside the first great city. Towering walls stretched for miles, layered with formations and dense Spiritual Energy. The power surging behind those walls was enough to make even an Earth Sovereign hesitate to enter recklessly.
A single glance filled one with awe.
Old Monster Xuan Pao bowed slightly and murmured, "Master, the forces behind the Merchant Continent are complex and deep. It's said that long ago, a major powerhouse failed to win a treasure at auction and killed the auction master in rage."
"As a result, multiple top factions joined hands to suppress his entire sect. His people were nearly wiped out before he finally surrendered the treasure and paid vast compensation in Sovereign Spiritual Liquid to settle the matter."
Liu Xi turned to him with an amused smile. "You worry too much. I'm not some villain—why would I ever rob an auction house?"
Old Monster Xuan Pao's face stayed blank, but inwardly he sneered.
'Not a villain? Ask around the West Heaven Continent—how many dared travel at night after you passed? How many fairies still tremble at the name of the "Stripping Demon," who left them weeping with only their pants intact?''
Liu Xi caught his disbelief but didn't bother explaining. After all, the rumors weren't entirely wrong—he had simply been… forced.
Turning back toward the city, Liu Xi's eyes gleamed as he smiled lightly. "Let's go. Straight to the largest auction house. Small fry couldn't possibly afford my treasures."
"Yes, Master!"
At the gates, countless powerful cultivators came and went, but none noticed the three figures passing among them. If Bodhisattva chose to conceal his presence, few beings in the Great Thousand Worlds could perceive her.
A Heavenly Sovereign's arrival in any land would cause waves across the realm—so a touch of caution was only wise.
The streets teemed with Spiritual Energy; shop after shop radiated strong fluctuations, proof that every storefront dealt in rare treasures.
Liu Xi ignored them, heading straight down the main thoroughfare until, at its end, a colossal structure loomed into view.
It resembled a divine beast crouching upon the earth, swallowing and spitting streams of humanity. Every cultivator allowed entry was at least of Sovereign rank—and there were thousands waiting outside. Even among them, many were Earth Sovereigns.
Above the massive entrance, five gilded characters gleamed with divine light:
Dragon Abyss Auction Pavilion.
