Chapter 6 - Deatg Strom : The Blood Of The Ishuko

Death Strom — Chapter 6: The Blood of Ishuko

Night fell over the mountains of the ninja realm.

The moon hung low, its pale light washing over the silent training grounds.

Torches flickered, throwing long shadows that danced like spirits against the walls.

Usuki stood in the center of a stone courtyard, his chest still aching where the fire marks had seared his skin. The faint red glow pulsed beneath his hoodie like embers refusing to die.

Kanshiki watched from a distance, arms folded beneath his cloak.

"Still breathing?" he asked calmly.

Usuki smirked weakly. "Barely. That flame felt like it tried to eat my soul."

Kanshiki: "That's the price of being chosen. The Ishuko Fire doesn't obey men — it devours them, until only the worthy remain."

Usuki clenched his fists. "Then I'll make it obey me."

A quiet chuckle came from the shadows.

"Big words for a rookie."

From the far side of the courtyard, Freak stepped forward — red lightning dancing faintly across his fingers. His white hair caught the moonlight, his red eyes burning like molten glass.

Freak: "So, you're the 'Fire Chosen' huh? The kid from another timeline."

Usuki: "Yeah. And you're the one who called my sensei sensei too much."

Freak smirked. "You've got a mouth on you. Let's see if your flames match your words."

Kanshiki: "Freak."

The sensei's tone was sharp but not angry.

"If you're going to test him, don't hold back. The Ishuko flames awaken only under pressure."

Freak's grin widened. "You heard him, newbie."

Usuki stepped back, taking a deep breath. The ground beneath him felt alive, humming with old energy.

The air cracked.

Freak vanished — reappearing in front of Usuki in a blur of red lightning. His fist crashed forward, wrapped in a burning arc of electricity.

Usuki barely dodged, his instincts screaming. Sparks grazed his cheek, searing his skin.

He stumbled backward, eyes narrowing. "Too fast…"

Freak: "Then burn faster."

Freak's hand shot out again — this time forming a streaking whip of lightning. It slashed the air, leaving glowing scars in the stone floor.

Usuki gritted his teeth, raising his hand instinctively — and the air exploded.

A torrent of crimson fire burst from his palm, swirling like a vortex. The impact blew both of them apart, flames and lightning colliding mid-air in a blinding flare.

For a heartbeat, everything went silent — then the blast echoed through the valley like thunder.

Kanshiki shielded his eyes from the storm of energy.

He's already forming shape control, he thought. That's impossible for a first awakening…

When the smoke cleared, Freak stood on one knee, grinning wildly.

"Not bad, Usuki… not bad at all."

Usuki's chest heaved. His hoodie was half burned, his hands trembling.

"I told you… I'll make the fire obey."

Kanshiki stepped between them, his expression unreadable.

"Enough. You've proven yourself, Usuki. From now on, your training begins for real."

Usuki wiped blood from his lip, a faint smile breaking through the exhaustion.

"Then I'm ready, sensei."

Kanshiki's gaze lingered on him — not with pride, but something deeper. A flicker of concern.

Because deep inside, even Kanshiki could feel it…

That crimson flame wasn't just fire.

It was something older.

Something hungry.

And as the night wind carried the scent of smoke across the horizon, a single whisper echoed from the flames —

"The Blood of Ishuko has awakened…"
