"It's quite simple, everyone is capable of using Spiritual Magic. We use a Ritual Scroll called the Spirit Link Ritual. It requires a drop of the individual's blood and some of their Mana as a catalyst to activate, it then sends a signal to the Spirit Realm, and a compatible Spirit responds.
The Spirit is then summoned and forms a link with the Summoner. Once the link is formed, the Spirit resides within the Summoner, and only returns to the Spirit Realm after the Summoner dies, there is no other way to break the link.
