Blackwood Penthouse - 6:45 PM
Emily and Timothy were in the living room when Sebastian returned, his expression grim.
"We have a problem," Sebastian said without preamble.
Emily sat up immediately. "What happened?"
"Stephanie's back in Cloud City. I saw her on campus today, watching me and Chai." Sebastian's jaw was tight. "She made sure I saw her. Made eye contact, looked directly at Chai, then smiled. The message was clear."
Timothy's expression went cold. "She's threatening Chai."
"Yes. And before I could reach her, she disappeared into the crowd." Sebastian pulled out his phone, showing them a grainy photo he'd managed to capture. Stephanie's face was partially visible, but her intent was unmistakable.
Emily's stomach dropped. "This is my fault. Chai's in danger because of me."
"It's not your fault," Timothy said firmly. "It's Stephanie's choice to target innocent people out of revenge."
