Chapter 58 - 58 | Before The Final Phase Begins

[Max's POV]

I suddenly jerked awake after the chattering of players increased. I smiled. I did not have emotions as to how I felt the first time that particular moment, but surely I was enjoying a weird re-watch of my own memories.

I sighed and sat straight on the ready-made sofa. I remembered I received a title, so I checked it immediately. The system manifested with information.

[Title – The Unreplicable One]

[Type – Unique]

[Blessings of Arcanum Primafolia]

[Title Effects:]

1. Absolute non-replication

Any attempt to copy Player's techniques, mimic combat style, learn movement, record your skill logic, analyze your growth, or reverse-engineer your actions will lead to absolute failure.

2. Permission-based exception

Only the player can decide who, what, and how much someone can copy from you.

3. Anti-Imitation

Even partial imitations lead to different results, wrong outcomes, and inferior results.

"Damn, that's totally unique and not even overpowered like the one I made for Fiona. I should learn from this. Thanks, Arcanum." I commented and thanked Arcanum Primafolia again for this special title for me.

I was thinking of what funny scenarios may occur if someone tries to copy me; suddenly a giant human, probably a Titan, stood in front of me, souring my mood.

The brute muttered, "Hey, puny, why are you sullying the throne made for your father? Get lost from here before I make you."

I sighed internally. I didn't know what gave me courage, his body or his 4 Titan friends behind him, but I was not going to let this ruin my mood, so I acted.

A sudden huge earthen fist, made by the earth element, enhanced by the flexibility of the nature element, increased in density by the space element, and sped up by the wind element, flew out from the ground near the sofa as I said, "Get lost, twerp; I am in a good mood," and sent him flying a few meters back.

I looked at his teammates and asked, "Would you guys politely leave, or should I send you out flying too?"

They bowed their head and apologized, leaving me to my thoughts again. I was satisfied with being able to incorporate this many elements in a few seconds; I didn't have enough time to add more elements. But this was an acceptable result in the pursuit of creating a new element.

While I was reminiscing in my memories and contemplating about my new element, a group came from the side, and a girl in it asked, "How did you do that?"

I saw a familiar face, Fiona, in the group. I looked at the girl holding a staff, probably a mage. Since she was from Fiona's group, I decided to answer; however, I was interrupted by another girl from the group.

"I can say it was fast with no chant or incantation, but I am sure you could almost match the speed." The second girl with a ponytail, armor, and a black spear in her hand interjected.

Before their talk could further, Fiona stepped forward and said, "Sorry, Boss Max, they said they wanted to meet you. So I brought them here. This one is Sally; she is one of the best mages I have seen yet."

"The next to her is Kiera; she handles a spear with such finesse. And lastly, she is Kieko; she is a summoner." She finished introducing all three members of the group.

"She is a Summoner. Nice to meet you everyone," I greeted. I was actively pushed by the system, and even Fiona told me such, so I thought I should try having a conversation.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Max. Could...." Sally stopped midway as she saw me creating 4 more chairs the same way I made my sofa.

"How are you doing that, Mr. Max? This should not be possible unless someone crossed the 50th floor or has a special connection to the element." Sally was becoming baffled.

I just replied with a slight smile. I wanted to know the exact reason she was asking this question.

Kiera, however, interjected again, "So he may have a connection to the earth element. I am more concerned about seeing you getting all hyper."

Sally shot back immediately, "Because, dummy, he didn't just use earth. He used fire, earth, water, and nature too; can't you see those vines and leaves? And the punch he used earlier had a space element in it."

"And not only that, he is controlling it effortlessly." Sally finished her explanation.

Now the whole group have amazed expressions on their faces except Fiona; this was normal for her.

"Your friend has a good eye, Fiona. As for how I did that, it's simple: I commanded them," I answered and remarked, genuinely impressed by her being able to find out which element I used in such a short time.

"No, Mr. Max, it's nothing compared to your mastery over the element." Sally said.

Now Kiera was completely silent while Kieko stayed the same.

I asked Fiona, "How has your tournament been till now? Any problems?"

Fiona replied, "It was intriguing and sometimes fun, Boss. In the first phase I was able to take all 10 leaves easily. The second phase was easily passed. From the third phase, it was a little difficult, so we made a team."

"Good," I commented on her growth.

Kiera stepped slightly forward and bowed her head and apologized. She said, "I am sorry if I have offended you in any way."

"It's okay; nothing to worry about," I reassured her.

Kieko spoke up for the first time, "Mr. Max, can we know the reason for you getting an announcement when you entered the Tower? I am sorry for being so direct; I just wanted to know." She finished speaking and looked at me apologetically.

"Nah...I can't tell you exactly. System limitation and what-not," I chuckled at the end as I lied.

"Oh. I guess we may get to know about it someday," she commented.

Before anybody could speak further, the awaited system screen materialized in the air.
