[Max's POV]
The dimension had become entirely silent again, and even after continuous fighting and destruction, the recovery capacity of this place was astonishing. There was no proof of large-scale fighting, and the last of the damages was also being amended.
I sheathed the Lamina, who tremendously helped me. "Good job, girl." I tapped the sheathed Lamina as an appreciation. He hummed happily.
I glanced all over me; I was alone again, with no echo lurking nearby. Even after all this fighting, my dress was intact, partially because of my splendid cloak and the rest because of the mana shield.
I finally glanced at the system screen, signaling completion of the phase.
[You have passed the Fallback Arena Trial]
[Trial Summary]
Type – Mirror Colosseum (Fall Back Arena)
Duration – 5 hours 2 minutes
Echoes eliminated – 69,897
Score – You are number 1 on the final scoreboard.
[You are qualified for Last Phase of the Rising Star Tournament]
"What kind of score is 'You are number 1 on the final scoreboard'?" I asked; it was a little weird. The satisfaction of seeing a fixed score instead of a vague number or remark is very high.
[The score will be 999,999]
[But the disparity between your score and the 2nd rank will be miles. So the system doesn't want unnecessary complaints lodged about fairness, etc.]
"Wow, that was very emotional. I just wanted to see my score. So it's okay, I guess," I replied. I waited for a few seconds, thinking, "I will be transferred to the same resting area as before or someplace else." But nothing happened.
"Hello, system, Why am I still here?" I asked, but instead of an answer, I got something else.
[Arcanum Primafolia has acknowledged your existence]
[You have been granted permission to enter this realm at your will]
[You have received 10 leaves and a small branch of True Arcanum Primafolia]
[You have been granted title – The Unreplicable One]
"Wow," that's the first word that came as I read the panels.
I looked up and around, then spoke a little louder, "Thank you for this honor. I will make sure to use gifts given by you wisely."
As I finished speaking, I felt the same spatial distortion, and I was teleported out of the Colosseum.
I appeared in a sparsely crowded area as I landed on the ground with my knees slightly bent. I gave a look to my surroundings and got to know that this was a different surrounding from last times.
The players all around were resting on the ground. I also saw few players appearing near me. I searched for Fiona, but she wasn't present yet. I refrained from contacting her during the running phase.
If I guessed, all the 50,000 players from the last phase were gathered here, so I just chose a wide spot and made myself a sofa out of the earth, nature, fire, and water elements.
It was semi-comfortable; I was not tired like always, but it had been some time since I slept.
Whenever I sleep, I dream about memories of my previous life, so I decided to get comfortable by moving my legs over one side of the armrest and taking a short nap.
I had my Infinite Aegis on, so I was worried about ambush. This certainly can be the best use of Trait whenever I need to sleep. I dozed off with this thought.
[3rd Person POV]
Two beings, one man and one woman, were gliding at a speed untraceable by mortal eyes. There seems to be some kind of competition going on because of how fast they were going even through cities and towns.
After crossing few landscapes and cities. The man landed first, followed by the woman, in front of the Ro'nark Mansion.
The young man, Matt Ro'nark, said sarcastically, "See, little sis, I told you, even if I give you a head start, I would reach first." He ended his words with a small laugh.
The young girl, Maeve Ro'nark, spoke furiously, "Big brother, I told you to wait at least for a minute, but you started flying after 30 seconds. Of course I would lose. I may have reached Planetary-level realm, but I am nowhere near you."
"It wouldn't have mattered even if I gave you a head start of a minute," Matt shot back.
"See, I knew you didn't wait for a minute," Maeve complained.
They were doing their sibling banter when a middle-aged man, radiating a powerful aura, bowed in front of them and said, "Welcome Young Master and Princess of Ro'narks, to the mansion after a long time."
"Thank you, Reglian," both answered simultaneously and stopped their bantering.
"Has Father arrived yet?" Matt asked.
"Yes, Young Master," the butler Reglian answered.
They had only walked a few steps further when Reglian spoke again, "Young Master and Princess, I have been told to inform you both that your mother might also come to watch this month's Rising Star Tournament final, as there is a chance that Young Master Nolan may reach the finals."
Both stopped, looked back at the butler, and nodded their heads. Matt replied, "Thanks for letting us know."
"What do you think, brother? Will Mother come?" Maeve asked.
"I don't know. The relationship between grandfather and mother has been too strained, so Mother has been spending her time away from Syndicate and even family. Recently, she is solely focused on climbing the Tower." Matt explained.
He spoke again, with a slightly strict tone, "Don't you go talking about this in front of Father."
"Okay, big brother," Maeve laughed a little.
"I am serious," Matt spoke, raising his brows.
"Yes, I know." Maeve playfully chuckled.
They continued their banter again.
Two women were sitting opposite each other, eating a specially made cake.
The first woman, Amelia Moonshade, who had a slightly dark complexion, spoke first while taking a bite, "Are you going to watch the finals this month, big sis?"
"Yes, of course, my niece Talia will be in this event. How can I miss it?" The second lady, Amana Isaldor, with an ethereal presence and calming aura, said.
"Yeah, she even may have a chance of winning. If not for that brute son," Amelia said.
"You are forgetting, dark horse of this month. Max was his name, I think," Amana said with a curious tone.
"Yeah, he sure came out of nowhere. Did you try to find out about him?" Amelia asked, enjoying the cake.
"I tried; I even asked the system, but he is a dark horse in the truest sense. Nobody knows anything about him, and the system refuses to answer questions about him even when offered Myth Points," Amana explained her frustration.
"Wow, I didn't think much before, but this surely can be concerning. Do you think he can be problematic?" Amelia shared her sister's curiosity.
"No, I don't know, and that's why I need to know who he is." Amana said with a resolute expression.
"Well, let's see who this Max is." Amelia spoke.
The man in question was sleeping off dreaming about his memories.
