Chapter 10 - Developing Hatsu

At this moment, Hisoka had no intention of continuing his attack. He looked at Gon, narrowing his eyes with interest: "That black fist of yours, that's not 'Nen', is it?"

Gon's heart skipped a beat, and he blurted out instinctively: "How do you know?"

"Hehe~" Hisoka licked his lips as if savoring something delicious. "Pure 'Nen' is a sweet fruit… But the black on your fist is a completely different, spicy aura!"

His gaze shot like an arrow towards Kyle in the audience, "Only that Specialist kid could do something like this!"

Locked in Hisoka's intense gaze, Kyle immediately felt goosebumps.

"My interest in him is growing…" Hisoka retracted his gaze, muttering to himself.

Gon felt like he had no secrets before Hisoka, and a surge of unwillingness pushed him to charge forward again.

However, as soon as he took a step, a strange pulling sensation came from the back of his head—a broken slab of stone, as if pulled by an invisible thread, arced in a tricky trajectory and hit him with a 'thud'!

"Hit valid! Hisoka ten points, win!"

Touching his aching head, Gon finally understood that Hisoka had already laid a trap during their fight.

"Your defeat was due to a lack of combat experience. If you had a few more real battles, perhaps I would have lost to you." Hisoka turned to leave, waving his hand behind him.

"Next time we fight, it won't be in a regulated arena…" He added in his mind, "Then, we will wager our lives."

Gon watched Hisoka's retreating figure. Although he felt the gap in their strength, an even stronger fighting spirit ignited within him.

This was not out of reach; he believed that one day he would catch up to Hisoka.

In the room:

"Hiss—that hurts!" Killua slapped Gon's bandaged shoulder, making him wince in pain.

"If that pervert Hisoka didn't like to nurture talent, your fate wouldn't be much better than Pica's!" Killua said with relief.

Kyle nodded in agreement: "Killua is right. Until we truly grow stronger, he will only endure and observe. But once he decides to make a move, it will inevitably be a fight to the death."

"Hisoka… why does he do this?" Gon asked, puzzled.

Kyle shrugged: "Who knows. Everyone has different pursuits. For him, a life-or-death struggle with a strong opponent is probably the ultimate pleasure!"

Just then, Kyle and Killua simultaneously tensed, sensing a familiar and dangerous 'Nen'.

"You two stay put." Kyle stood up, his expression solemn, and pushed the door open.

He followed the aura to a slightly ajar door, took a deep breath, and pushed it open.

In the darkness, Hisoka leaned against the sofa, a playing card toying between his fingers, and a sickly sweet yet dangerous Nen pressure filled the entire space.

"Heheheh…" He let out a pleasant tremor, "I'm becoming more and more interested in that 'black' power now."

...A few days later, on the train to Whale Island.

The wheels clacked against the tracks, emitting a rhythmic roar.

Inside the carriage, Gon was excitedly recounting interesting stories about growing up on Whale Island, making Kyle and Killua burst into laughter.

Although Mr. Wing was their nominal teacher, most of Gon and Killua's knowledge about 'Nen' actually came from Kyle's systematic instruction.

After bidding farewell to Mr. Wing, they embarked on this journey with Gon.

There were still many preparations needed to form a Hunting Pirates: a pirate flag representing them, and the crucial navigator.

Kyle's chosen candidate was Gon; his beast-like intuition and keen perception of weather made him a natural navigator. Of course, he still needed to learn systematic navigation knowledge.

For the cook, he thought of the gourmet Hunter, Menchi; the exotic delicacies of the Pirate World would surely be fatally attractive to her.

She could be found through the Hunter Association or their official website.

"Kyle, when are we going to another world again?" Killua asked excitedly, his eyes sparkling with anticipation.

"No rush, we still need some preparation time. Don't forget, we have a promise with Kurapika and Leorio."

"Next time we go, we will officially set sail. Supplies, a ship, team division… and more importantly, our own strength. We need to cultivate 'Haki' there, and our 'Nen' training cannot fall behind."

He looked at his two companions, his expression serious: "You have mastered the basics of 'Nen', but to deal with stronger enemies, you must develop your own 'Hatsu' (Special Ability)."

Upon hearing this, Killua's lips curved into a confident smile: "I already have an idea."

"That fast? What is it, what is it?" Gon immediately leaned forward, his face full of curiosity.

Killua put his index finger to his lips, winking mysteriously: "Se—cret—"

Hearing Killua say this, Gon became anxious, but no matter how much he pressed, Killua refused to reveal a single word.

Seeing Killua like this, he immediately thought of his own Hatsu, but no matter how hard he thought, he still had no idea.

Then, as if he had thought of something, he immediately looked at Kyle.

"Kyle, what ability do you think I should cultivate?"

Kyle thought about Gon's abilities in his previous life. His ability was called Jajanken, which included Transmutation, Emission, and Enhancement-type abilities.

But no matter which ability he activated, his stamina consumption was too long, which was a big disadvantage in one-on-one combat.

However, that was his original signature ability. He should start with his signature ability, and then, by fusing it with Armament Haki and other techniques in the Pirate World, he would surely be able to form a powerful special ability.

Thinking of this, Kyle looked at Gon and smiled: "Gon, for Enhancement abilities, you can try to use the aura application methods you've learned and concentrate them into one point."

"Concentrate all the various applications of Nen I've learned into one point." Gon began to try it out according to Kyle's idea.

And just as Gon activated Ren, the air on the train began to feel oppressive.

The ordinary people nearby felt a sense of suffocation, as if someone was suppressing them.

Gon paid no attention and directly began to try to gather all the activated aura in his hand. Just as he gathered it halfway, he felt the aura becoming more and more violent. He couldn't control it, and the aura immediately dispersed.

Seeing this, Kyle nodded and said, "This is the most basic and destructive fundamental attack for Enhancers.

Especially for an Enhancer, when you have enough aura and concentrate it in your hand, you can unleash an extremely impactful, destructive force."

Kyle knew that the final punch Gon delivered against the Cat Girl had the effect of a nuclear explosion, and from his appearance, Gon at that time had probably forcefully grown to about eighteen or nineteen years old.
