Guilds, Adventures, Mercenaries

"Where crowns fail to conquer, coin and courage prevail." _Archivist-General Merenth Val Sionis

1. Structure and Headquarters

Central Guild Headquarters: Located upon the Isle of Blades, equidistant from all four kingdoms. A fortress of blackstone and spellforged steel known for its great hall, The Bloodspire.

Function: Oversees adventurer registration, mission allocation, and treasury distribution.

Annex Branches: Each kingdom hosts an annex in its capital for recruitment, training, and quest management.

2. Guild Divisions

Each adventurer and mercenary is assigned to one of six divisions, marked by badges and rank color:

Blades Division – Frontline combatants and mercenaries.

Fangs Division – Scouts, spies, and assassins.

Wands Division – Mages, healers, and scholars.

Shields Division – Defenders and caravan guards.

Talons Division – Beast tamers and monster hunters.

Crowns Division – Special royal contractors, operating under noble secrecy.

3. Rank Hierarchy

Steel → Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → GuildmasterProgression depends on completed missions, leadership, and survival record.

Few ever rise beyond Gold.

Platinum ranks are eligible for the Guild Council and vote in Guildmaster elections (held once per decade during the Grand Blood Trials).

5. Economic and Political Role

The Guild serves as the largest mercenary organisation and a stabilising force in inter-kingdom commerce.

By maintaining consistent pricing, mission standards, and coin circulation, it effectively operates as an unofficial neutral authority between realms.

Its influence extends into trade, defence, and diplomacy, rivalling that of smaller nations.

6. Scholarly Note

Officially, the Guild represents unity and opportunity beyond borders; a place where any may rise by merit and coin.

The Guild's reach is vast, and its records pristine; perhaps too pristine.
