Kermit's POV
Someone else had treated Bruce? How could this happen without my awareness?
And was it truly as effective as Rosalyn suggested?
Bruce had been battling this condition for years. No one had ever been able to provide relief.
"Who did this?" I asked, suddenly very interested.
"Oh, silly Rosalyn," Solace interrupted with a laugh. "Why are you calling me 'someone else'? Do you want it to be a surprise?"
Carrying a cup of whatever she'd been preparing, she approached Bruce and encouraged him to drink.
"Rosalyn just wants to surprise you, Kermit. I actually developed a new treatment, and thankfully, it was successful. Right, Rosalyn?" She smiled and gently touched Rosalyn's hair. "Why don't you fetch some water for your brother, sweetheart?"
Rosalyn stood and left without speaking. She appeared uncomfortable.
"So it was you?" I questioned Solace.
"Obviously. Who else would enter the children's room?"
