Tonia's POV
The next morning, Father and I made our way back to the Pack territory, just like every other Alpha who had attended the ceremony in Silverwood.
My body ached with exhaustion, and all I craved was a hot shower followed by a long soak in the tub. Unfortunately, my sister had other plans for me.
"So how did things go in Silverwood?" Sabrina intercepted me just as I reached my bedroom door. Her eyes immediately zeroed in on the bandaged section of my scalp. "Well well, looks like someone had a rough time."
The wound had stopped throbbing completely. Within days, there would be no trace left of what happened.
"Everything's fine, Sabrina. Can you please just leave me alone?"
She had been unable to join us for the funeral, claiming she had urgent matters to handle here. Ever since Sterling began treating her like dirt, she had been walking around with this permanent cloud of misery hanging over her. Not that any of that was my doing.
