Tonia's POV
The pounding in my skull felt like someone was using my brain as a drum set.
I dragged myself from bed and stumbled toward the bathroom, desperate for relief. The hot water of the Jacuzzi slowly began to wash away the fog clouding my thoughts.
As the steam cleared my mind, memories from the previous evening came flooding back. The anger hit me like a freight train.
Kermit had done it again.
Just when I was finally enjoying myself for once, he had to show up and destroy everything. That brief moment of genuine happiness I'd felt was snatched away in an instant.
After my bath, I grabbed my phone to check messages. My heart nearly leaped out of my chest when I spotted an email from AMC requesting my presence by late morning.
The clock on my nightstand showed I was running late.
Damn it.
