Tonia's POV
After spending hours researching alternative remedies, I finally created something that might work as a substitute for the Kermit treatment. The chances were slim, but desperation made me willing to try anything.
Evening shadows stretched across the hallway as I carried the freshly brewed tea toward his office. The man never seemed to rest, always buried in work even when he was supposed to be taking a break from Pack duties. I wondered if he ever allowed himself a moment of peace.
My knuckles rapped against the heavy wooden door repeatedly, but silence answered back. Strange. I had specifically told him I would bring the tea by tonight. Maybe he stepped out briefly and would return soon. Since I had already prepared everything, leaving it on his desk seemed like the reasonable choice.
