Tonia's POV
My throat tightened as I struggled to speak.
"I'll send you the footage right away."
"Thank you so much. I really appreciate this."
The call disconnected.
I drew in a shaky breath.
Even through my pain, I couldn't ignore the nagging suspicion that something had happened to me that night. Something buried in the gaps of my memory.
I waited anxiously for the security footage, but the manager seemed to be taking forever. By the time I arrived at my destination, nothing had come through yet.
I gazed up at the imposing building before me.
Was this really the right choice?
It had to be.
I grabbed my purse and documents, stepping out of the vehicle. The medical center hummed with activity around me.
Floor-to-ceiling windows stretched along one side, bathing everything in natural light. Vibrant paintings decorated the walls, adding splashes of color to the sterile environment.
The front desk was a whirlwind of motion as staff fielded phone calls and guided visitors.
