Someone is coming today
The next morning…
Uhuhh… I let out a long, tired yawn as I stretched my arms. My eyelids felt heavy, like I hadn't slept for days. Honestly, I didn't sleep well last night. My mind kept spinning with strange thoughts, tiny worries, and random letter. Even my pillow felt uncomfortable for no reason.
"It's almost 8 a.m…"
I stared at the clock on the wall.
"Why didn't Natasha come today?"
She usually knocked on my door before 7:30, reminding me to get ready, asking what I wanted for breakfast, or just chatting about useless things that somehow made mornings softer. But today—nothing.
"Well… let's get fresh first," I mumbled and dragged myself to the bathroom.
After getting ready, I stepped into the hallway. The mansion was strangely loud. Usually, mornings here were calm—just the sound of footsteps, clinking dishes from the kitchen, maybe Leo giving some early orders. But today… chaos.
While walking toward the stairs, I suddenly froze. Someone was shouting. A deep voice, sharp, cutting through the air like a knife.
Leo.
And the softer voice trying to defend itself belonged to Natasha.
I quietly moved closer, not intentionally eavesdropping… but when someone is yelling this loudly, it's impossible to ignore.
"What?? But WHY? Are you out of your mind? You should have told me!"
Leo's voice was full-on rage. It wasn't his usual irritation—this was something else. Something dangerous.
Natasha's voice trembled slightly.
"But boss, I truly… I don't know about that. I wasn't informed."
"It's your JOB! How can you not know?!"
Mafia mode: activated.
"Yes boss… I-I'm sorry."
"I don't want your sorry!" Leo snapped. "Do you realize how serious this is? We have only four hours—and one is already gone! Go. Fix it. Now."
"Yes, boss. I will do my best."
He shot her a cold glare.
"Not your best. I want perfect. Do whatever you have to do."
Natasha rushed out, her face pale. The moment she saw me, her eyes widened like she didn't expect anyone here. She hurried to me, whispered urgently,
"Don't go to the boss today, okay?"
And without waiting for my reply, she ran off like the mansion was on fire.
I just blinked.
"O…kay? What is happening?"
I turned to leave, still confused, but suddenly Leo stepped out. His brows were tightly drawn, frustration all over his face. His shirt sleeves were rolled up, his hair slightly messy—as if he had run his hands through it a thousand times already.
His eyes landed on me.
"Did you… get something last night?" he asked.
"Ye—"
I was about to answer, but he raised a hand and cut me off.
"Forget it."
He didn't even wait for a response.
He walked a few steps, then paused.
"Sorry," he said without looking at me, voice softer. "You'll have to eat breakfast alone today. I'm extremely busy."
"It's fine. Don't worry," I said, though it came out more confused than comforting.
He nodded once, then disappeared down the hallway, leaving behind a trail of tension.
This day was definitely weird.
When I headed toward the kitchen, everything felt like a race had started. Smith rushed past me like a storm. He didn't even notice me until I called out.
"Smith!"
He stopped abruptly and turned, breathing heavily. "Oh! Realiana, I'm so sorry, I didn't see you. I'm in a rush. Do you need anything?"
"Why is everyone so busy today? Did something happen? Leo looked really frustrated."
Smith scratched the back of his neck. "Because… Leo's big sister is coming."
I blinked.
"What? He has a sister? He never mentioned it."
"Yeah, she doesn't come often. She's… um… you'll see."
Then he checked his watch and panicked.
"I'm really sorry, I have to go!"
And he ran off again, leaving me with more questions than answers.
I continued toward the kitchen. The chef placed breakfast in front of me the moment I sat down, as if he already knew I'd need comfort food today.
Meanwhile, the entire mansion was in total chaos.
Natasha was rushing left and right with folders.
Smith and the bodyguards were moving furniture for some reason.
Workers were polishing everything like their lives depended on it.
Someone was shouting instructions.
Someone else was carrying new flower arrangements.
And I… I was sitting there eating peacefully, watching the scene like it was a dramatic movie.
"So, a new mystery…" I whispered to myself.
Leo has a sister.
I wondered how she looked.
Probably beautiful.
Probably powerful.
Probably someone who would enter like a storm and flip everyone's world upside down…
Just like today.
Hi there.
