Chapter 161 - The Indestructible Vajra-4

Pov: Third Person

But he didn't know why he still felt extreme danger at that moment, so he increased his speed again, almost flying. Soon, he came across a large fleet of ships with different designs and technologies. The lead ship among them was a wooden boat with Xinxia-style decorations and people standing on its deck.

At this time, this was Rayborn's armada, headed toward Blue Star World after sensing some anomalies. As a Watcher, he needed to confirm any signs of an eldritch entity in that world. Sensing Gullnor, he looked at him. Staring back at Rayborn, Gullnor shivered, feeling like a small worm in front of him. Despite the distance, he believed Rayborn could kill him in seconds.

But as if sensing something, Gullnor frowned. With an expression of dread, he placed his hand on the boat, teleporting himself and a large part of the armada with him. The other ships followed suit, as if obeying his orders.

Gullnor didn't think much about it since he was focused on escaping. But if he had looked back, he would have seen an arrow made of bird skeletons closely trailing him—not too fast, not too close—like a predator stalking its prey. This arrow, fired by Vik, was not alone. If someone observed it closely, they would find it surrounded by thousands of bird spirits, flying around. The surprising thing was that all of them were flying at a speed close to light speed.

Unaware of this, Gullnor continued to fly at full speed. After encountering Rayborn's armada, he decided to make haste and took a dangerous step. The vast information available to him in his clan had shown him a star map of the area, highlighting wormholes that could take him closer to the Immortal Plane through shortcuts.

So, he turned and entered something like a ruptured star, where a hole existed at its center—a hole in the fabric of time and space itself, which was also the reason for the star's collapse. He believed that even if anything went wrong, his position and luck as the chosen one would save him.

And his thoughts proved true. When the Vajra arrow following him tried to enter that wormhole just seconds later, it became highly unstable and ultimately destroyed itself. Perhaps it was because the Vajra arrow broke the laws of the universe, or maybe Gullnor's luck was saving him.

For now, he had entered another portal, escaping his imminent death without realizing it was chasing him. The Vajra arrow stopped in front of the collapsed wormhole, as if trying to trace Gullnor's path. It then started rotating, along with the thousands of bird spirits flying in circles, and soon they paused in a certain direction.

Then, the arrow and the spirits began to move in that direction, but this time at a slower pace. Something strange happened: the matter around it started to flow toward it but stopped at a certain distance, revolving around it like a disk and then transforming into energy that it devoured.

This scene looked magical, but it was familiar to most who could travel in space, resembling the event horizon of a black hole—a highly restricted zone of the lower universe, a place from which even light cannot escape. Now, this Vajra arrow exhibited similar properties, acting like a black hole. It continued to move at the same pace, but the fabric of space and time bent around it, making a single step equal to thousands of light-years.

Despite luck or fate intervening, death still followed Gullnor, who remained oblivious to it. While the Vajra arrow moved toward Gullnor in its bizarre manner of bending space and time, he emerged from the wormhole, standing at the edge of the universe or at least this plane. In front of him was a membrane-like wall made of colorful light, marking the boundary of this plane.

Gullnor came from the Immortal Place, but as a chosen one and prodigy of the Four Clawed True Dragon Clan, he had found a treasure called the Heavenly Bead. He had hidden this treasure from everyone because it was initially a fragment of the Heavenly Dao—not a small world's, but of the Immortal Plane.

The Heavenly Bead had many magical abilities, but its most powerful trait—known only to Gullnor—was that it could evolve by absorbing the laws of a world or fragments of the Heavenly Dao. However, this was not something he could do in the Immortal Realm, where skilled experts lurked in every corner, capable of killing him with a glance. If the citizens of the Immortal World learned about this treasure, they would hunt him down to the ends of the world.

So, he used his clan's teleportation array to cross planes discreetly. While searching the area around the Immortal World, he discovered the Mortal Plane, a realm without high energy, only lower spiritual energy. He determined that it was best to go there and absorb the laws of a world unable to retaliate.

The Mortal Plane was desolate, lacking high-level powers. This entire plane was trapped and bound by the Immortal Plane. The colorful membrane was part of that binding.

Without hesitation, he used the Heavenly Bead to open a small crack in the wall. After entering it, the Vajra arrow arrived at the same place, resembling a miniature black hole. It tried to enter the crack but found it closed. This time, the Vajra arrow, lacking patience, collided with the colorful wall. The impact created vibrations so loud they nearly produced energy on the level of a big bang.

But the Vajra arrow and the bird spirits ignored everything and crashed again into the wall. This time, vibrations and destruction erupted on the other side in the Immortal Plane, shattering the colorful wall into thousands of pieces.

Now, the inhabitants of the Mortal Plane were free from the bindings of the Immortal Plane. The very ones who created this wall faced a backlash and searched for what had broken it. But the Vajra arrow remained focused on finding Gullnor. It would find him, kill him, and take his body back to bury it in the Azure Mountains, even if it had to burn the entire Immortal Plane.
