The car stopped a few streets away from the palace gates.
From where we parked, I could hear the sound of music and there were a lot of cars looking for where to park.
I sighted a few influential people in Agrevia, and their escorts making their way to the royal palace . The ball had started.
"Check your comms," I said. I tried to keep my voice low and calm. Each man responded with a small click through the earpiece and nodded in confirmation. Great, everything was working.
We moved on foot after that, making sure to remain in the shadows.
The city was full of people dressed in silk and color and they were all heading toward the palace, guards were stationed at every corner, carriages and cars rolling down the streets.
None of them looked our way.
Which was an extremely good sign because our main objective was to blend in and if we looked suspicious, we would have been able to tell from the way their eyes looked at us but none of them seemed to notice.
