In the beginning; there was only silence.
From the Void, the Star King Dragon Veldanava emerged, a being of infinite light and infinite possibility. With a single thought, he shaped the heavens and the stars. with a single breath, he gave form to earth and seas. From his heart came dragons-embodiments of the world's primal forces-and from his soul, he crafted laws that would govern reality itself.
Yet even gods are not beyond loneliness.
Among the High Humans, a race gifted with wisdom and potential, Veldanava found one whose heart shone brighter than any star: Lucia Nasca. Where other mortals trembled before divinity, she stood without fear. Where others worshipped, she spoke to him as an equal.
And so the Star King fell in love.
From their union came two children. The first was Milim Nava, who inherited the chaos of her father's divinity and the fire of her mother's spirit. A girl of unrestrained emotions, her laugher could shake mountains, and her wrath could annihilate armies.
The second was a son. Unlike Milim, his power did not flare outward like an inferno. Instead, it coiled within him like a star waiting to ignite.
He was born with hair that shimmered silver-blue, as if spun from starlight, and eyes of molten gold, dragonoid and eternal. His aura was calm yet boundless, both divine and human. Neither dragon nor man-but something greater.
He was the Second Dragonoid, and he was named Rimuru Nava.
A Child Between Worlds
Rimuru's earliest memories were of warmth. His father's hand, vast enough to cradle a world, yet gentle enough to hold a newborn. His mother's lullabies, sung in the tongue of men but carrying the resonance of spirits.
Milim, wild and excitable, often tugged at his hair and demanded he spar with her. "Come on, little brother! Don't hide behind Mother! Fight me!'
Rimuru would pout, refusing at first–only to be pummeled by her childish strength until he relented. Yet even when Milim overpowered him, there was no malice, only laugher, and the bond of siblings.
Their aunts, too, were ever-present.
Velzard, the White Ice Dragon, looked at him with frosty suspicion. "He is too soft. Too human. Such weakness will be his downfall.'
Velgrynd, the Scorch Dragon, disagreed, her fiery gaze alight with Curiosity. "No... there is steel in him. He carries both Father's eternity and Mother's will. That makes him dangerous–but also magnificent.'
Even Rudra Nam UI Nasca, Veldanava's first human champion, would kneel before Rimuru. "This child... he may be the bridge between gods and men. Or the blade that sunders them apart.'
Shadows on the Horizon
But paradise was fleeting.
Though he was eternal, Veldanava's heart was fragile. In his love for Lucia and their children, he abandoned the role of Creator, handing the balance of the world to others. And in doing so, his strength waned.
One fateful day, the Star King Dragon fell.
The heavens wept, the seas raged, and the world trembled as Veldanava–the one who had birthed existence itself–perished. The cause was shrouded in mystery: some whispered of betrayal, others of fate itself rebelling against its maker.
Lucia, stricken with grief, gathered her children.
"Milim," she said softly, "you are fire. Burn brightly, and never let your heart be chained."
"Rimuru," she whispered, brushing her hand across his cheek, "you are light. You must endure. Live, even when the world turns against you."
But Milim, overcome with despair, would later destroy nations in her sorrow. And Rimuru... Rimuru vanished.
For his own protection, his mother sealed him away in a crystalline chamber, deep within the earth, where no god nor demon could reach him. There he slept, his body suspended in timeless starlight, while the world above forgot his existence.
The Prophecy of the Forgotten Heir
Yet not all forgot.
Velzard and Velgrynd whispered of him in their clashes. Veldora spoke of him drunkenly to anyone who would listen. Milim, though shattered by loss, clung to the hope of his return.
And form the lips of prophets came a warning that echoed across centuries:
"When the Son of Stars awakens, the laws of creation shall tremble once more. Gods will fall, demons will rise, and dragons shall kneel before a new king. He shall be called neither man nor dragons, neither god nor demon... But the Dragon King, who binds eternity and humanity in one."
Dormant No Longer
Centuries turned to millennia. Nations rose and fell. Demon Lords carved their names into history. Angels slumbered in preparation for the final war.
And deep within the earth, in a cavern untouched by time, the crystalline seal began to fracture.
Thump. A heartbeat.
Thump. A pulse of light.
The slumbering heir stirred, his golden eyes flickering open. His aura seeped outward, rippling across the land, a tide of power unseen since the age of the Star King.
The world, unaware, stood at the edge of a new dawn.
And the name of that dawn was Rimuru Tempest.
