The red marker blinked again, it was slow, patient and waiting, the route Eden generated stretched across the monitor like a thin line of light, moving across continents and oceans until it reached the point in Eastern Europe.
My father had planned everything, years ago, before Eden woke up, before the Syndicate hunted me and before I even knew what Eden was.
Darian leaned closer to the console.
"You're quiet."
I exhaled slowly.
"I'm thinking."
"About the trip?"
"Yes."
The line on the screen pulsed softly, Eden was still calculating something, adjusting the route and checking systems, like it was preparing for a journey it had waited decades to complete.
Darian crossed his arms.
"So how do we get there?" Before I could answer, Eden displayed another message.
