ADANNA POV (Point of view)
Eden didn't speak in words, not exactly, but when the message appeared on the screen, something inside my mind shifted. There was information moved through the connection like light, fragments, images, old systems waking up.
The Origin Node responding, and my breath caught in my throat.
"Adanna…"
Darian's voice pulled me back to the warehouse, he was watching me carefully.
"What did Eden say?"
I swallowed slowly.
"It answered the signal."
The red light on the monitor pulsed again and was stronger now, the system had recognized me and somewhere far away…
Something had recognized Eden.
DARIAN POV (Point of view)
The officers around us were growing more uneasy and one of them stepped toward the console.
"Shut that system down."
Another agent shook his head.
"We can't. The data stream is connected to half the intelligence networks in the world now."
The warehouse buzzed with tension, but my focus stayed on Adanna.
