Dahlia's POV
The charity auction buzzed with Crestwood City's most powerful figures. Money and influence filled every corner of the grand ballroom.
I was making my way toward the VIP area when voices erupted behind me.
"Cobb? I didn't expect to see you here," someone shouted.
"Business brought me to Crestwood City. Figured I'd drop by," Cobb responded with that smooth confidence I knew so well.
He commanded attention in his perfectly fitted suit. The tailored fabric emphasized his broad shoulders and lean frame. Under the crystal chandeliers, his angular jaw and piercing eyes seemed to captivate everyone within sight.
A woman in a rose-colored gown stood near him. The dress hugged her narrow waist and showcased her figure. She gazed at Cobb with obvious interest, though surprise flickered across her features.
"Cobb? First time seeing him, but damn, he's gorgeous," she whispered, biting her lower lip. "Shame. Men that beautiful usually have empty wallets."
