I stared at my father in confusion.
For more than ten minutes after my sister was carried out of the hall by that strange handsome man, my father's gaze had remained outside the door.
His jaw was so tight that I could almost hear him gritting his teeth… a telltale sign that he was furious.
I glanced around the hall, the George family was nowhere to be found.
When Bruce was pulled away by his father… I only thought it was just to take him away from that man.
But now it seemed they had really left for good.
I drew in a breath and decided to speak to my father, but nothing had prepared me for that question.
Whatever was he implying—asking if I had a hand in this?
What would I have a hand in that my sister came over and messed up my wedding?
Or was it the fact that my husband had not really gotten over her?
And I doubted if he would get over her for ten lifetimes.
