Watching as Adrian Carter lifted Stella into his arms and exited the hall with her friend Linda in tow, my fist clenched by my side.
So tightly my nails dug into my palm.
My heart raced with trepidation. My breath caught in my throat as my gaze followed them, step by step, until they disappeared from my line of sight.
Yes, I stood rooted to the spot—no, frozen, frozen at the spot.
His eyes.
His scent.
His aura.
Even though he had suppressed it, it was unmistakable.
He was an Alpha.
Not just any Alpha—but one of a higher rank.
This was the least of my expectations. To find an Alpha in this wedding hall, and more surprising was his declaration that Stella was his wife.
