I looked down at the ground, averting his gaze which had become a hard stare.
He inhaled deeply. "Do you realize what having this information means, Alison?"
Of course I did. I'd become an even bigger freak, one hunted not only by the state authorities but also the Darnville police division.
"When did you come to find out about this?" He asked.
"I'm not sure, I just know that I suspected it. Let's call it a hunch." I paused, weighing his reactions. "But seeing as you acted the way you did, it's obvious that my hunch is correct."
I narrowed my eyes at him with suspicion. I had him between the tail now. I had turned the situation around in my favour and turned the narrative to suit me.
He exhaled and shifted in his seat uncomfortably. "You cannot tell anyone of this finding."
My brows furrowed in confusion. "Don't you think everyone is meant to know? The lives of everyone in Darnville is in danger. A few deaths have already occured." I pointed out.
