Eichi activated his Eye of the Bug Emperor.
In his sight, the energy within Scizor was much greater than when it was Scyther. To put it in data terms, it had increased by about five levels. Scizor was now Level 30.
After evolving, Scizor felt a little unaccustomed to its new body. Conveniently, there was a river nearby, so it opened its wings to fly over, but it quickly noticed that its body felt less nimble than before, and its speed had decreased considerably, but it didn't dwell on it.
Arriving at the river, it could clearly see its reflection in the water. I have indeed evolved into Scizor, it thought. It tried to touch its face, but as soon as it raised its arm, it realized its scythes were gone, replaced by a pair of large pincers.
Scizor stood up. It was Scizor now, and it felt full of power. It really wanted to find a Pokémon to battle and vent this newfound strength.
At this moment, Beedrill flew out and hovered in front of Scizor, offering congratulations on its evolution.
Scizor responded by raising its pincers, expressing its joy.
Eichi walked over and touched Scizor's body.
It was cold like metal. By tapping it he saw that it was very hard.
Sure enough, after Scyther evolved, the Flying type disappeared, and a new type, Steel, emerged. Due to being a Steel-type Pokémon, Scizor's weight had increased significantly. Furthermore, its speed stat had decreased, while its Attack and Defense stats had risen. Its training focus would need to be changed in the future.
Scizor suddenly raised its pincers towards Beedrill, challenging it to a battle. Beedrill was also curious about how much Scizor's strength had improved after evolving, so it agreed.
However, just then, a drop of water landed on Eichi's face. He looked up, and then a few more drops landed on his face. Hmm! It's raining.
Eichi said to the two Pokémon, "Alright, it's raining. If you two want to battle, you'll have to wait until we get back."
Seeing the rain start to fall, the two Pokémon put their focus away from battling. Then, the rain suddenly intensified, turning into a heavy downpour. The sky was instantly covered with dark clouds, accompanied by bursts of thunder.
"Boom, boom-boom."
The weather had been fine just a moment ago, so how did a heavy rain suddenly start?
The raindrops were dense and beat down on Eichi, so he quickly put the items he had placed on the ground into his backpack.
He had forgotten to bring an umbrella, so he needed to hurry back, or he would soon be soaked to the bone.
Eichi took out his Poké Balls and was just about to recall the two Pokémon when, suddenly, a blood-red light appeared before his eyes.
His Eye of the Bug Emperor activated on its own so he noticed that the blood-red light was mixed into the pale blue energy. This situation was very similar to the incident with the Rattata Poaching Group last time.
It's happening again. It looks like a Bug-type Pokémon is in danger.
Suddenly, a loud crash came from behind him. Based on the sound, it wasn't far away. Eichi and the two Pokémon turned around.
"Beedrill, this situation is the same as the Rattata Poaching Group incident last time. Scizor, let's go."
As soon as Beedrill heard this, it understood the urgency of the situation. Although Scizor couldn't understand what its Trainer was saying, it knew from his expression that the matter was urgent and could not be delayed.
Eichi moved quickly and ran out, while Beedrill and Scizor were already flying ahead of him. Eichi kept running forward, and after a few minutes, he finally reached his destination.
When they arrived, several Pokémon were besieging a single Pokémon. Their target was... Heracross!
Eichi's pupils contracted. This Heracross seemed to be the one from the Viridian Forest. He took a closer look, and confirmed that this was really the case, the Outstanding Talent Grade Heracross, and its Rank was Experienced. There should be no other Heracross like it. However, its current condition was not good; it was covered in injuries and very exhausted.
Looking at the Pokémon surrounding it, the strongest among them was the leading Crobat.
Crobat, the Bat Pokémon.
Types: Poison / FlyingAbilities: Inner Focus Hidden Ability: Infiltrator Description: Crobat's body is entirely purple. Three claws can be seen on its wings, and its head and abdomen are fused together. Its feet have evolved into wings, seemingly to make it fly faster, but this makes landing difficult. Its pupils are yellow, its eyes are red, and it wears a fierce expression. It has two backward-pointing horns on its head.
Besides Crobat, there were also Houndoom, Golem, Donphan, and Persian.
Persian, the Classy Cat Pokémon.
Type: NormalAbilities: Limber / Technician Hidden ability: Unnerve Description: Persian is a feline quadruped Pokémon. After evolving, it has a red gem on its forehead, and its fur has completely changed from brown to milky white. Its ears are rounded, its pupils are red, and it has three whiskers on each side of its face. Persian is said to resemble a lion after evolving.
Heracross was roughly the same level as them, but facing the attacks of multiple Pokémon, it was struggling greatly.
Crobat launched a Shadow Ball toward Heracross, and it dodged with a quick movement. Houndoom's Flamethrower also rushed over, and Donphan rolled in as a ball while Golem used Stone Edge. Heracross was unfazed by the numerous attacks and blocked them one by one.
Heracross dared not take the Flamethrower head-on and quickly dodged it. It could not dodge Golem's Stone Edge, so it had no choice but to use a hand-chop to shatter the rocks. Next, Donphan's attack charged forward, but Heracross blocked it with a hard push. Then, with great effort, it used a horn attack to toss Donphan into the air.
This entire sequence of actions consumed a massive amount of stamina. Heracross was panting heavily, but just as it was catching its breath, Persian sneak-attacked from behind, and a Shadow Ball slammed into its back. Heracross cried out and was knocked against a nearby tree.
It was unable to get up immediately, and the other Pokémon's attacks were closing in again.
In this situation, Heracross desperately tried to stand up.
Looking at the few Pokémon in front of it, it cried out, "Hera!"
The Pokémon began to attack again, but just as Heracross was about to despair, a voice suddenly shouted from the distance, "Beedrill, Scizor, use Protect to defend Heracross!"
In the nick of time, Eichi finally arrived. When Heracross saw the arrival of Eichi, it showed a surprised expression. "Hera!"
