Chapter 128 - The Injured Heracross

The moment Eichi's voice fell, a bright red light flashed in Beedrill's eyes, and it vanished instantly.

In the next second, it reappeared in front of Heracross, its back to its ally. Scizor also accelerated, attempting to fly over quickly using Agility. However, it forgot that its weight had increased significantly after evolving, preventing it from being as fast as before. It had no choice but to push itself to rush toward Heracross.

Houndoom used Flamethrower, Crobat and Persian used Shadow Ball, and Golem used Stone Edge. The attacks of the four Pokémon were launched simultaneously at Heracross. Beedrill appeared in front of Heracross just as the attacks were about to hit, and a green shield instantly materialized before it, blocking all the incoming attacks.

Eichi breathed a sigh of relief after the attacks were blocked. He then commanded, "Beedrill, Scizor, drive them away!"

Scizor arrived just in time. Donphan saw Scizor approaching and curled into a ball, rolling toward it.

Rollout!

"Perfect timing! I was just looking for a battle, and you delivered yourselves right to me."

Scizor didn't dodge the charging Donphan. It raised its two large pincers and charged forward.

The pincers emitted a white light in the air. Just as the two Pokémon were about to collide, Scizor swung its double pincers, striking Donphan's spherical body quickly and fiercely, like a bullet.

Bullet Punch!

Scizor went straight for a head-on confrontation. Its double punches landed effectively on Donphan's body, knocking it a considerable distance away.

After being sent flying, Donphan was visibly injured and immediately returned from its curled state to its original form.

Eichi, watching from a distance, thought to himself, "That was Bullet Punch. Sure enough, Scyther learns Bullet Punch immediately after evolving into Scizor. And newly evolved Pokémon are always in top condition."

Scizor followed up on its advantage, quickly closing the distance to Donphan. Donphan had not yet recovered from the previous attack when Scizor landed another strike with its pincer, punching Donphan's head, eliciting a cry of pain. Just as the other pincer was about to strike, the other Pokémon rushed in to help.

Houndoom and Persian attacked. Houndoom used a Fire Fang, which Scizor dodged while Persian threw a Shadow Ball in its direction, but Scizor gathered energy in its mouth and spewed out a pillar of fire.

The two attacks collided in the air and the fire column consumed the Shadow Ball instantly.

The fire pillar continued in its direction, striking Persian directly, and making it fall to the ground, sustaining considerable damage.

Simultaneously, after Beedrill blocked all attacks with Protect, it quickly turned to attack Crobat.

It knew that Crobat was the strongest of the opposing Pokémon and needed to be dealt with quickly.

It swiftly charged toward Crobat, who, seeing Beedrill approaching, flapped its wings, fanning out several sharp gusts of wind.

Air Slash!

Crobat used Air Slash against Beedrill, but just as the sharp gusts were about to hit, Beedrill created countless copies of itself, surrounding Crobat.

Crobat looked left and right, unable to tell which one was the real one, so it decided to use a move to eliminate all the clones. However, just as it was about to unleash a move, Beedrill, moving like a flash of lightning, suddenly struck from behind.

In the heavy rain, it truly resembled a bolt of lightning.

Brick Break!

A direct Brick Break strike landed squarely on Crobat's body. It was immediately knocked down into the muddy ground, splashing mud everywhere.

Upon seeing Beedrill and Scizor arrive to save Heracross, Golem began to retreat. It was pouring rain, and the water washing over its body made it feel slightly weak.

It wanted to leave, but Beedrill was unwilling to let it go so easily. Arcs of electricity appeared on Beedrill's body as it gathered energy. After one or two seconds, a thick bolt of lightning struck Golem.

Hidden Power!

Golem, now completely covered in mud and water, watched in terror as the bolt of lightning hit its body. A continuous scream erupted from its mouth. Simultaneously, another cry of pain echoed; it was Crobat next to Golem. Beedrill certainly didn't forget about it.

The other Pokémon witnessed the painful cries of the two. On the other side, Scizor struck Persian with a large pincer, forcing it to retreat a distance. Persian struggled to its feet and realized that its group couldn't beat the two opposing Pokémon. The situation was dire. Time to leave. Persian was the first to run away.

This initiated a full retreat. The other Pokémon, seeing Persian flee, also lost the will to fight and followed, each one running faster than the last. Scizor wanted to pursue, but Eichi stopped it. "Scizor, don't chase them. We have more important things to do."

Scizor stopped its pursuit and returned to Eichi's side.

Eichi quickly ran to Heracross, asking with concern, "Heracross, how are you?"

After seeing the attackers flee, Heracross finally relaxed completely. It didn't try to struggle to its feet and just lay on the ground. When it saw Eichi, all its worries faded. For the past few days, I've been constantly worried, always hungry, and sleeping uneasily. Now, I can finally relax.

When Eichi asked it a question, it just managed to say, "Hera," before passing out.

Seeing Heracross unconscious, Eichi realized its injuries were more extensive than he thought. After the previous battle, it must have been completely exhausted.

The sky was completely dark now, and the heavy rain continued to pour. Eichi was completely soaked, but he ignored it, focusing on channeling the Bug Force within him to Heracross.

He then lifted Heracross from the ground and put it on his back. Thanks to the enhancement of the Bug Force on his physical fitness, Heracross did not feel heavy on his back.

Eichi told his two Pokémon, "Let's head back."

The three quickly rushed back to the academy.

After they left, a figure appeared on a tree, watching Eichi and the Pokémon disappear from sight. Then, it set off, heading in the direction the attacking Pokémon had fled. The storm was still raging.

Back at the academy, Eichi opened the door and gently placed Heracross on the floor. On the way back, Eichi had continuously infused Bug Force into it, and its injuries had already improved somewhat.

Eichi fetched a basin of water and began wiping the mud off Heracross's body.
