Chapter 1 - I'm a baby

He woke up confused, trying to make sense of his situation, his mind wandered unable to focus, his body ached, he couldn't open his eyes and just trying to put strength in his arms required all his will.

Little by little the fear accumulated inside him, his heart pounded rapidly, around him sounds like sobs sounded. Soon, being unable to move or open his eyes, despair began to invade him, the sobs became unbearable and just as he was about to force a scream out he heard "and now? Why aren't you crying?" a tired and beautiful voice sounded, it emitted tranquility and for some reason it made him feel good, a hand was placed on his chest, he wasn't sure if he had heard those words or if he had imagined them, but the hand on his chest gave him an enormous feeling of security that was difficult to explain, soon all the fear and anxiety he felt dissipated to leave only tiredness and sleepiness, which quickly defeated him.

How long did he sleep? It was something he was unable to know, when he woke up the pain had disappeared, although he was able to move his body without pain, he still couldn't open his eyes, which worried him a little, he could still hear the sobs around him but he only heard them from time to time and they weren't as loud anymore. After moving his limbs a little he noticed that he was finally able to get up, his back felt weak, he knew the problem wasn't his legs because he had been kicking for a while so he tried to sit up but his back was unable to support his weight for long, after a while and despite his worry sleep overcame him again.

It wasn't until some time later (although he couldn't tell how long) that he was finally able to open his eyes, and when he did, his mind couldn't understand what was happening.

He found himself in a dark room. To his surprise, he was able to move freely, even sitting up. Looking around, he noticed stone walls, a ceiling made of what looked like wood, as was the floor. It was a large room, and in the middle was a large, thick wooden table. Something resembling a fireplace sat on the other side of the table. He was in a large bed with skin-like sheets; they weren't overly soft, but they were very warm. He was surrounded by children, giant children. His eyes couldn't believe it. He counted six, all scattered on the enormous bed. A moment later, he finally noticed: their arms were very short, as were their legs. Panic would have taken hold of him if sleep hadn't overtaken him once again. He tried to fight it, desperately trying to find some logic for this situation, but his resistance didn't last long and when he was closing his eyes he managed to see a beautiful woman enter the room from a staircase and walk towards him with a grace that seemed almost inhuman

When he woke up again, in front of him was one of the babies, staring at him, he turned his gaze and as he was moving away when the baby attacked him, biting his shoulder and although surprised, he reacted quickly and sent his attacker flying, the enormous (from his perspective) baby was surprised for a moment but recovered quickly and attacked again, he easily managed to put him in submission, because despite the fact that his limbs were shorter than he remembered, his opponent attacked like a wild animal, soon he sat on the giant baby without giving him a chance to get up until he began to sob, which attracted the attention of the other babies who were slowly waking up, some confused while others threw themselves into the fight as soon as they raised their heads. After a fierce fight he managed to impose himself on them, it had helped that many fought among themselves and it was not all against him. He noticed in the middle of the fight that even though they were using all their strength, they were unable to really hurt each other, which turned it into a game mid-fight and only ended when they got tired. Being the only one awake after a while —what's my name?— he thought, it was then that he realized he had forgotten something important.

Inside the room it was impossible to tell the time; hours, days, weeks could have passed. He couldn't tell because there was no sunlight and he spent more time asleep than anything else. However, lately, fights had been waking him up. The babies around him were spending less and less time asleep and were fighting more and more. He almost always won the fights. The children attacked like beasts, and he knew how to move in those situations. He remembered his training in the army and that he liked martial arts in general. He was the best fighter in his regiment.

It was strange to him to be able to remember so many things from his past but be unable to remember his name, in the short time he had spent as a baby (something he had managed to decipher and come to accept) he began to study his new anatomy, he was male, he had wolf ears, claws and a tail just like the children who surrounded him, he also stopped calling them huge children because he realized that he was the one who was small. The reason he was able to accept it was because of the visit from what he took to be his mother, a beautiful woman who gracefully came down the stairs and after uncovering her breast began to feed them, he was awake and saw how she watched him, the woman's face was expressionless, as if nothing mattered to her at all and although he planned to refuse at first to be fed that way, as soon as the woman's arms held him, his mind relaxed and he let himself go, by the time they took him away from the food his body wanted to continue but even so they placed him on the bed and picked up another child, he opened his eyes, looked at the woman and despite the fact that she didn't say a single word, he thought he heard - you eat a lot for the smallest - which for some reason made him angry, however his anger didn't last too long because with his stomach full sleep soon overcame him again.

The woman would come downstairs, feed them, and leave. Occasionally, she would light the fireplace and stare into it. On those rare occasions, he was able to tell it was nighttime, as the cold chilled him to the bone, so he would lie down among those he understood to be his brothers and fall asleep.

Although he couldn't tell how much time passed, he understood that his mother only lit the fireplace at night; the rest of the time they spent it locked inside. He was surprised to be able to see so well in total darkness.

His siblings only woke up to eat, fight, or soil themselfs, but they were technically babies, so he thought that was okay.

He, on the other hand, observed his surroundings. He could hear footsteps on the ceiling, and when he noticed there were no doors in the room he was in, he realized it was a basement.

He and his siblings grew increasingly stronger. Their fights stopped being games at some point because their bites hurt and their claws cut.

So he tried to get away from all his brothers when the fight started, something he wasn't always able to do. So he had to strategize how to beat them. Luckily for him, the fights were usually all against all, so he only had to fight two or three of them per fight, but there were seven of them, so every now and then he would lose, because no matter how much combat memory he had, he still had the body of a baby.
