Chapter 1 – The Reunion

The class reunion was buzzing with laughter, music, and the chatter of old classmates catching up after years apart. Among the crowd sat Daisy, now a famous actress, who had been invited by one of her old classmates who practically begged her to attend.

As soon as Leo laid eyes on her, he was mesmerized. She looked breathtaking — elegant yet distant, her quiet presence drawing attention from every corner of the room. All the female classmates tried to approach her, eager to talk to the celebrity among them, but Daisy was shy and reserved. Her quick, polite replies made it clear she wasn't used to small talk, and eventually, they gave up.

Across the room, Adrian, Leo's best friend, caught him staring.

"Hey, do you like her?" Adrian teased.

Leo didn't reply. He just kept his eyes on Daisy, studying her face carefully.

"Who is she?" he finally asked.

Adrian smirked. "Don't you remember her? She was in Class D back then."

Leo frowned. "Really? I don't remember."

"Well," Adrian said, grinning, "why are you so interested all of a sudden? Don't tell me you like her."

Before Leo could answer, two girls approached their table — Ivy, the former class president, and her best friend, Kiara. Ivy had always liked Leo, but he had turned her down every time she confessed.

"Leo! Long time no see," Ivy said sweetly, sitting down beside him.

Leo barely looked up. "Yeah."

"I went to your old place once," she continued. "They said you don't live there anymore."

"Yes," Leo replied shortly, then turned to Adrian. "Do you know that girl sitting over there?"

Both Ivy and Kiara turned their heads — and there was Daisy, sitting gracefully, her bodyguard beside her as she scrolled through her phone. When she noticed Leo watching her, she quickly lowered her gaze.

Adrian stood up suddenly. "I've got something to take care of. See you later." He gave Leo a knowing grin before leaving.

Ivy crossed her arms. "Why are you asking about her?"

"I just don't remember her from school," Leo said calmly.

"Do you like her?" Ivy pressed.

"That's none of your business," Leo replied and stood up to grab a drink.

Ivy stomped her foot in frustration, her face burning with jealousy. Kiara tried to calm her. "Relax. You're way prettier than her," she whispered, though she didn't quite believe it herself.

Still fuming, Ivy decided to confront Daisy. She walked over but was stopped by the bodyguard. Daisy, noticing, told him to let her through.

"Long time, Daisy!" Ivy said with a forced smile. "It's been, what, five years? You're a popular actress now — that's amazing!"

"Thanks," Daisy replied softly, her tone distant.

Ivy kept pushing. "Where do you live now? Maybe I can visit when you're free."

Daisy hesitated, then politely gave her the address. Ivy thanked her and left, her jealousy hidden behind a sweet smile.

A few minutes later, Daisy stood up. "Don't follow me," she told her guards. She needed a moment alone. On her way to the restroom, she accidentally bumped into someone and fell.

Strong hands caught her — it was Leo.

"Sorry," he said quietly, surprising himself. He wasn't the type to apologize.

"No, no, it's my fault. I wasn't looking," Daisy said quickly, her voice soft and nervous. She lowered her head, embarrassed.

Leo studied her face, then asked, "What's your name?"

He smiled slightly. "My name's Leo."

Daisy froze. Leo?

Her mind went blank for a second. The name echoed in her head — the same name she once whispered in secret years ago. The same boy she used to love back in school.

It was him.

He didn't seem to realize it, though. His gaze held no recognition.

"I'm… Daisy," she finally managed to say, her voice soft and unsure.

Leo repeated her name slowly, as if trying to remember something. "Daisy… That's a pretty name."

She forced a small smile, her heart pounding. He didn't remember her — and maybe that was for the best.

But as she walked away, her thoughts wouldn't stop.

After all these years, fate had brought her face-to-face with the man she thought she'd never see again.

Leo smiled, amused by her reaction.

"I need to go," Daisy said quickly. "Before my bodyguard comes looking for me."

"Wait," Leo said, gently stopping her. "Can I have your number?"

Her eyes widened again. "My… number?"

He nodded.

She was shock but she gave him.
