Chapter 53 - Chapter 53: Wan Shi Tong's Library 1

Katara and Ty Lee landed from the air, the water wings on Katara's back vanishing into vapour. Toph, hanging her arms around Norrak's neck, landed on the ground, regaining her sight.

"Appa! Are you okay, you big fur ball?" Toph immediately ran to Appa with worry in her tone as she jumped onto Appa's back. Appa let out a noise of acceptance as Toph rubbed her cheek on his soft back.

"Well, it seems like some people still don't know that Appa is with the avatar. If they knew, I don't think they would have tried to kidnap him," Ty Lee said while looking at the blood droplets on the ground.

The benders that Norrak dealt with were very violent. Their blood was ripped out of their bodies before the force dragged their bodies towards the fleeing blood.

Anyone who saw such a violent scene would be traumatised for life, if not throw up all their organs from puking. Norrak walked forward, jumping onto Appa.

"Let's get going, everyone. We need to make it to the Sun warriors during this week," Norrak announced as Appa got ready to fly into the air. Ty Lee smiled before jumping onto Appa.

"Are these people going to be okay? What if another band of bandits comes back?" Katara said hesitantly as she pointed towards the town behind her.

Katara was worried that after they left here. Some bandits would come back and rob the whole town of their resources and money, especially those sandbenders.

"By the way, what were those benders doing? I never saw a sandbender before... Because I can't," Toph said with confusion before smiling at her own joke.

"For Katara, do not worry about the town. They were in cahoots with the benders, so they won't suddenly be robbed," Norrak said with a reassuring smile as he looked at the town.

There is no way that some small town in the middle of the desert can keep its business running when there are hundreds of sandbenders, raiders and bandits wandering this desert.

They either work with those people to keep their business alive during the day while forced to hand out a percentage of their earnings, or they will be robbed and have nothing left in their possession.

So those townspeople with their businesses are not in danger of being robbed or killed by those bandits and sandbenders.

"Oh, right... I still can't believe they chose to try and surround us with those sandbenders," Katara said with an annoyed huff as she jumped onto Appa.

"Don't worry, Katara! Those people are most likely scared that they will be retaliated against if they don't help those benders. It's not your fault," Ty Lee said while rubbing Katara's back with a reassuring smile.

"Thanks, Ty Lee," Katara looked at Ty Lee with a thankful gaze, her annoyance at herself for not being able to stop them by herself and not gaining the trust of the people first, vanishing.

She is supposed to be the avatar that will bring peace to this hundred-year-old war started by the Fire Nation. She should be gaining trust from people. Gaining allies, not rushing to have a drink of mango juice.

If she had spent maybe even 10 minutes searching the town and getting information, she would have turned the townspeople against those benders and gained their alliance.

"Ugh... Am I invisible as well as blind?! I ask you a question, you handsome man of a hunk!" Toph said with annoyance as she gained a tick mark. Norrak turned to her and smiled apologetically.

"Appa, fly up!" Norrak shouted as everyone was ready to go. Appa nodded, his body flying up from the ground before turning towards a direction that Norrak pointed towards.

"So?" Toph asked again, wrapping her arms around Norrak's neck as she leaned on his back. Norrak sighed before explaining. Since Toph wants to know, she could begin training as well, especially in this sand desert.

"That was sandbending, a sub-element of earthbending. You could try to control it with your seismic sense, especially since your feet-"

"My feet? What's wrong with my feet? Are they to your liking~," Toph interrupted with a smirk as she wiggled her toes in front of Norrak's face. Norrak clenched his face in disgust, the mud-covered feet in his face close.

"Ugh! Get those feet out of my face, and as I was saying, with your feet inside the sand. You could sense every movement of every grain and have better control," Norrak said, and Toph nodded, when a chill shot through her spine.

A ball of water surrounded both her feet, and the clear water quickly darkened as the mud covering her feet washed away. Once done, Norrak threw the dirty water balls down into the ground below them.

"Wow... How convenient!" Toph said with a smirk as she clapped her now squeaky-clean feet together. Norrak leaned down on his back, his hands behind his head.

Katara and Ty Lee shared a look, and they immediately lay on each side of him, their heads on Norrak's chest. Toph sensing this, frowned before a mischievous smirk appeared on her face.

"Ha! Get ready for a group bomb!" Toph jumped up, and Norrak's eyes widened as he watched Toph fall down onto him. Katara and Ty Lee's eyes widened, watching as Toph fell.

Bang!

"Urgh!"

Norrak felt the wind get knocked out of him as Toph fell onto his crotch and stomach. He rolled to the side with Toph, who smirked as she wrapped her legs around his waist.

"Y-You little rascal... That hurt!" Norrak screamed as he felt his crotch radiate pain into his brain. Katara and Ty Lee stood up in anger. Their eyes were flaming as they looked at Toph.

"Get off of him, you little bandit!"

"Get your own white-haired blue dragon!"

Ty Lee and Katara shouted with gritted teeth as they tried to pull Toph off of Norrak's body, who, by now, had regained control of his body, the pain gone.

"No! I won't let go of him! This guy is mine from now on, he is my personal feet cleaner, and feet healer!" Toph shouted with a grin as she felt her feet.

The invisible scars from walking on her bare feet had healed, and she had never felt the ground, or in this case, Appa's back, so vibrantly before. Her feet had become scarred and calloused from years of earthbending and training.

Dulling her senses compared to when she first used seismic sense. Now, she could feel even the vibrations in the air, due to invisible dust carried by the wind.

She could see everything!

"Hey, shut up, the three of you! I see something, Appa, get down," Norrak interrupted the three as he looked down at a small tower peeking through the sand dunes.

"Wan Shi Tong's library..." Norrka muttered.

______________________________________________

Yeah, Toph had her feet healed, and her senses improved drastically. Able to sense the dust in the air. Also, Toph is now going to be obsessed with Norrak due to healing her feet. Also, don't judge. Toph is into some freaky shit.

Which... It shouldn't be surprising since she can only see with her feet.

Leave a power stone!
