Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: A bunch of achievements lit up! But it seemed like something was wrong.

He knew what kind of trouble that damned Brother's wand would cause.

Dylan didn't want to get involved in any of this.

After testing all the wands Ollivander had suggested,

the most suitable one was the thirteen and a quarter-inch yew wand with a Thestral tail feather core.

  Ollivander was delighted.

  After all these years

, he had invested so much effort in crafting these wands in his youth.

Now, one of them had found a worthy owner.

It made him feel like an old father seeing his daughter get married.

For this, Ollivander didn't charge Dylan too much, just a friendly price.

He also gave him a lot of wand care materials and even a wand case made of Thestral velvet.

"Sir, you only charged me seven Galleons?" Dylan was in a good mood after buying a wand and receiving a lot of gifts.

"Yes, young wizard, the Ministry of Magic won't allow young wizards to spend exorbitant amounts on wands,"

  Dylan realized.

This must be because the Ministry of Magic is subsidizing the old man's wand sales.

Then he thought, these wands were made in his youth, and they've been sitting there for so long, unsold.

  Dylan blinked.

  So that's why!

  No wonder!

They even gave him so many small gifts!

"Thank you, sir. I'll take my leave then."

Dylan walked out of the shop, carrying a large pile of things.

Ollivander smiled at him, "Another interesting little fellow, and very well-mannered."

  When Dylan emerged,

  he spotted Professor McGonagall.

He hurried over, "Sorry to have kept you waiting, Professor McGonagall."

"That's not a problem," Professor McGonagall said with a faint smile. "Discerning wizards often achieve greater success. I'm looking forward to seeing you once you start school."

Glancing at the large bag of things in Dylan's arms, Professor McGonagall raised an eyebrow calmly.

She didn't say anything, but instead warned, "Your wand may be with you for the rest of your life. Don't let it suffer irreparable damage."

"I'll take good care of it!" Dylan promised.

He was feeling a surge of excitement. He

was filled with anticipation for truly entering the wizarding world, yet also with the excitement of receiving his new treasure.

Looking at his wand, enveloped in the fur of a Thestral, Dylan couldn't help but smile.

Seeing this young wizard, who always exuded a sense of maturity despite his youth, now expressing the excitement of a child, a gentle glint crossed Professor McGonagall's eyes .

"Let's go. You still need to get some custom-made wizard robes. Of course, you can also order one first."

  Dylan, guided by Professor McGonagall,

made their way through Madam Malkin's Robe Shop, Partridge's Cauldron, and Flourish and Blotts.

By the time he left, he was laden with bags.

"Professor, I'd like to check out that pet shop."

Professor McGonagall paused. "You probably... can't get another pet, right?"

Dylan hadn't actually bought much else.

  At Flourish and Blotts,

Dylan bought over thirty books, large and small.

These were all recommended by Professor McGonagall,

  including some textbooks.

Dylan figured that since he had a professor by his side, he should make the most of them.

Such a good book guide wasn't always available.     But this also meant he couldn't take any more stuff.

Dylan didn't want to go to the Magical Creatures & Beasts shop to buy a pet, but to inquire about how to get a license to keep Sobble.

So, Dylan just gave Professor McGonagall a shy smile and said, "Mr. Ollivander just told me some stories about magical creatures. I'm curious, so I really want to go and see them."

"Is that so?" Professor McGonagall nodded. "Go ahead, I'll wait here. Just remember not to stay too long."

  "Okay, Professor!"

Dylan, carrying his bags, scurried into the Magical Creatures & Beasts shop.

  After some inquiries,

he didn't waste any time and had Professor McGonagall Apparate him home.

  Saying goodbye to Professor McGonagall,

Dylan immediately carried all his belongings into his small basement.

The excitement of starting Hogwarts meant that even after carrying so much stuff and wandering around for so long, he didn't feel tired. He

briefly explained the day's events to his parents,

quickly washed up, and slipped back into the basement.

  And then, just then.

He suddenly noticed a new message pop up on the system panel. He didn't know when it had appeared, but he quickly looked up.

[Message]: You've achieved a new achievement!

"Huh? A new achievement?" Dylan was stunned. He'd assumed it was some kind of achievement from his first trip to Diagon Alley today.

Perhaps holding a wand for the first time, experiencing the sensation of Apparition for the first time.

He quickly clicked on the magic scroll icon and opened the achievements panel.

The text description of the new achievement looked as if it had been gnawed through.

The edges of the characters were jagged, the strokes twisted and meandering, and the text was a dark red, almost black, like dried blood.
