Rumble.
The whole place shakes tremendously. The trembling lasts for an unknown amount of time. When it ultimately comes to a stop, nothing seemingly changes. Because everything is dark. A total darkness.
Everything yet is uncertain and mysterious. There is space, which explains the existence of the quake, but the flow of time is yet to be determined. There is nothing to observe as a base to measure time.
An uncertain amount of time passes. The darkness is finally starting to manifest some context. Out of nowhere, light emerges. It is pale at first, almost transparent, and too dim to get into details.
Over time, the light's brightness grows more and more intense. The more the light radiates, the more the details of the place are revealed.
The light is seemingly placed on a flat, horizontal surface, which determines the orientation of the place. The surface that the light lies on is something deep and dark in hue: a black floor. The luminosity covers a range, revealing that the surface is actually constructed of neatly arranged stone slabs, with each slab having a length-to-width ratio of two to one.
The form of the light is also unveiled. Its hue is whitish, and the shape is flat and perfectly circular. The circle is not solid; instead, it is actually made out of layered circles, three layers in total. Geometrical shapes and scriptures can be seen in the circular light. The circular light turns out to be a magic circle.
The magic circle keeps increasing its brightness until the light does not go any brighter for a bit of time, indicating that it has reached its peak intensity.
A short while later, the magic circle begins to spin, but not all parts of the circle spin in the same direction. While the outer and inner layers spin in the same direction, the middle layer goes in the opposite. The spinning does not generate any sound.
The spinning starts moderate before going faster and faster. After some time, the spinning slows down and ultimately comes to a halt. Nothing happens for a moment until something starts to emerge from the magic circle.
From the magic circle, a dome of dark green color surfaces. The thing continues to emerge until a part of it is unveiled. That part seems to be a head of some kind of creature. Later on, the emergence stops, and the full appearance of the creature is shown.
The creature is apparently all dark green colored. Little hair on the head and thin, almost unnoticeable hair on its skin all over the body. The height is yet to be determined, but the creature's stature is kind of small. One detail is that the creature's head's size is quite large compared to its whole body.
With the light still around, the creature's body has a pair of legs and arms. It is apparently a humanoid type of being. It does not have any covering on its body, and its genitals are exposed.
The creature's eyes finally opened, indicating that it has life. Its eyes are located on the front side of its face, meaning it has binocular vision. With its vertical irises and visible fangs, the creature is meant to hunt prey, a meat eater or mixed.
Its nose and ears are long and pointed. Its fingers have long and sharp nails that look durable enough to slice through flesh. The creature turned out to be a humanoid monster called a goblin.
Once the goblin has been physically manifested, the magic circle disappears and everything turns all black again. Suddenly, another magic circle appears nearby and summons another goblin. The magic circles keep appearing until the area is filled with dozens of green-skinned creatures.
The magic circles generate enough lumen to get a grasp of the environment. The area is apparently a massive and spacious square room with walls at each side. The ceiling is quite high as well, about half the dimension of the sides.
In the middle of a wall, there is an open path for entry and exit. The opening is wide; even a dozen of these goblins could walk abreast through it.
Everything is quiet, until...
Sizzle. Sizzle. Sizzle.
"GRRRWWAAGH!!!"
Suddenly, the area is filled with the agonizing voices of the panicking goblins as if they are getting burned. Apparently, after their damage immunity from spawning goes off, their feet instantly get burned by the sizzling hot floor.
The floor is not actually the source of the heat, but the air around is. The floor is just heated by the air. The air itself is actually hotter than the floor. The air is hot enough to boil the exposed blood of doomed goblins, but not too hot to set them aflame.
"GAAHHHH!!!"
The goblins run in every direction trying to avoid the scorching floor and air; however, due to the darkness, they only bump into one another and stumble on the floor in the end, scorching more of their bodies, resulting in death afterwards. For every death, a magic circle appears to supply more spawns.
The piles of dead bodies then gradually covered a portion of the floor, creating a safer zone for other goblins. Nevertheless, they would eventually die from the hot air around.
Every minute, dozens of goblins die. The area reeks of burning flesh, and bodies keep piling up. Eventually, the environment learns to adapt and stop producing more goblins. The magic circle never appears in that area again.
As the bodies keep getting stirred and air-fried, something passes the opening and enters the room. It is not a goblin, but a creature that is entirely and physically different from that of a goblin.
Thud. Thud. Thud.
Each of the creature's steps, or rather, hops, is loud and solid. It does not get hurt by the heat, as it gained resistance to the terrain heat over time.
The creature stops before the mountain of charred goblin corpses. The monster then opened its mouth and took a large chomp of the goblins.
Crunch!
The sounds of broken bones and sliced flesh resonate in the spacious room. Every time blood drops from its mouth to the floor, it boils. This monster solos an entire spawn point for itself once again.
