Chapter 193 - Chapter 193: World in Flux! Through Time Itself

Herman hadn't anticipated this.

His ascension in the cosmic expanse had indeed rippled down to Earth. Even from countless light-years away, he could see people across Egypt kneeling beneath the sky, their voices rising in prayer to the "divine being."

And it wasn't just Egypt.

From his vantage point, Herman could perceive every corner of the planet. Across nearly every region, people were convinced that the celestial phenomenon they'd witnessed was the manifestation of a god.

Even in war-torn battlefields, countless soldiers had laid down their weapons, kneeling beside their enemies in reverent worship of the divine figure appearing in the heavens.

In some places, the wars themselves had fallen silent because of his ascension—an unintentional act of mercy that had stilled countless battlefields.

Everyone knew that faith had never vanished from human history.

The vision caused by Herman's ascension led many to believe that their "faith" had finally been proven real.

Numerous anti-war advocates claimed this was God's warning to humanity—that there had been too much bloodshed, and that the "second sun" was a divine admonition to cease the wars.

Because nearly everyone on Earth had seen the second sun in the sky and the sacred, majestic light flooding the heavens, the words of the pacifists quickly gained massive support. Even hardened soldiers and generals found their convictions beginning to waver.

During World War II, believers in God were many.

Battlefields that had once been fierce with gunfire now fell into eerie stillness. The course of history itself had been visibly altered.

"Such changes... weren't what I intended." Herman frowned slightly. He had underestimated the impact of his ascension. If he had known it would cause such worldwide upheaval, he would have gone beyond the Milky Way before breaking through.

Of course, if he had done that, without the speed of the Flash, by the time he returned, decades might have already passed.

Even with his previous Sky Father–level strength, not all powerhouses in the Marvel Universe possessed faster-than-light speed.

Look at Asgard, for instance—its king, Odin the All-Father, still needed the Bifröst Bridge as transportation. It was one of the more awkward quirks of Marvel's power structure.

"Perhaps once I find the source of that voice calling to me, I can head straight to the future. If the changes prove too severe, I'll just return and erase everyone's memories."

Herman's eyes flickered as he made his decision.

Compared to before, he could now remain in this era far more freely—and return to the future whenever he wished. Time travel had become much easier than he'd imagined before his ascension.

One of the miraculous powers granted by the Myriad Radiant Wings was precisely this: the ability to traverse time and space.

He no longer needed to locate time gates or spatial tunnels; a single beat of his wings could send him directly into the flow of spacetime itself.

It was incredibly convenient.

Of course, just like his Immortal Divine Soul, this was not a trait shared by all Universal-level beings.

The identity granted by the [All-Seeing Eye] couldn't be compared to an ordinary Universal-level entity. In sheer capability, Herman surpassed even some Multiversal-level beings, possessing laws and powers that would make those entities envious.

The emergence of the Myriad Radiant Wings had also eased his worries about affecting the future.

If too much changed, he could always return to the past to correct it. Combined with his unique temporal nature, Herman no longer had to fear that frequent time travel would create massive, irreversible butterfly effects.

This temporal uniqueness did more than simply make him immune to changes in time—it freed him entirely from the constraints of time's laws.

In other words, whatever Herman did within a given period would leave no trace of his existence in the universe until he moved forward to the next point in time.

Unlike the Flash.

When the Flash altered the timeline, he still continued to exist within it—and once he returned to a certain period, years or even decades of "fabricated memories" would flood back into him.

No such phenomenon occurred with Herman.

His influence on the world was confined solely to the actions he truly took—without any of the uncontrolled, residual "inertial" effects that plagued others.

"I was too young—didn't think things through enough." Herman reflected on his oversight, then turned his gaze toward Evelyn and the corpse of Ra, the ancient Egyptian sun god.

The divine barrier protecting Evelyn was still active. Thankfully, it was—otherwise, by the time Herman returned, he would have found nothing but her body. His miscalculation extended far beyond simply underestimating the effects of his ascension.

There was also the matter of time... Though it hadn't been months, dozens of hours had already passed. For an ordinary human stranded beneath the blazing desert sun without food or water, that was more than enough to die of dehydration.

Evelyn, in short, was lucky.

When Herman had ascended into the void of space, he hadn't removed the divine shield. If he had, with her delicate human constitution, Evelyn would never have survived the ordeal.

"She's sleeping pretty soundly."

Herman checked her condition. Ever since she had fainted earlier, Evelyn hadn't stirred—even after his ascension was complete.

That was unusual, of course. But after a quick inspection, Herman understood the reason: Evelyn was in the process of awakening the memories of her "past life."

She was caught in a strange dreamlike state. Unless someone woke her, she would remain asleep until her body began to fail, only then slowly regaining consciousness.

Clearly, the encounter with the ancient Egyptian gods had been too much for her—it had triggered a kind of shock. This awakening wasn't possession, but more like watching her previous life unfold as if through a film. So Herman chose not to interfere, letting her dream while he turned his attention to Ra's body.

A god's corpse—

Even in the harshest of conditions, tens of thousands of years wouldn't cause it to decay or rot. The body of Ra, the ancient Egyptian sun god, still looked almost alive. If left here, it could easily become a source of evolution for countless lifeforms.

However, Herman wasn't one to waste such a treasure.

Unlike Seth, who had drained himself completely dry, Ra had gone mad—but was slain by Herman at the peak of his divine strength.

A divine corpse of this caliber contained extraordinary energy. Herman stepped forward and stored Ra's body directly into his dimensional space.

As he invoked the "Cosmic Authority" within that space, Ra's corpse was swiftly absorbed and digested by the dimensional realm.

In that moment, a transformation on the scale of creation itself unfolded within Herman's second divine kingdom.

The divine realm he had acquired long ago but never fully developed was now, under the energy of Ra's divine essence, beginning to evolve into a true divine-universe of its own—

A pocket dimension to rival even the [Realm of Death].
