The conversations from the mysterious star domains remained unknown to all.
Within the Milky Way Galaxy.
As Herman's life level underwent an unprecedented leap, the entire universe seemed to pulse with him. This extraordinary phenomenon lasted for quite some time. When his fully immortal divine soul finally took form, Herman had become Earth's true supreme being.
Universal-level.
The patterns of cosmic laws spread across the galaxy began to draw inward after Herman's ascension, converging behind him to form wings woven entirely from pure energy.
Unlike the feathered wings of angels or bird-men, the platinum-gold wings behind Herman resembled countless tendrils formed from billions of radiant streams of light. These luminous appendages twisted and extended in all directions, forming a shape reminiscent of wings.
They shone with a holy and awe-inspiring brilliance, emanating waves of overwhelming dominance and divine authority—power so absolute it felt capable of purging every trace of defiance from existence itself.
"Maybe I should give myself a more striking divine name? With this look, calling myself the Lord of Myriad Radiant Wings doesn't sound too far-fetched, right?"
Herman was in high spirits.
He could feel the extraordinary powers coursing through the radiant wings behind him, and the divine energy within his body had multiplied countless times over.
If his divine power had once been a lake, it was now an ocean—an endless, boundless sea nourished by the [Realm of the Dead], capable of rapidly regenerating divine energy. The very quality of that power had also reached new, transcendent heights.
Such was the transformation brought about by a leap in the level of existence itself.
The Divine Essence of Ra, the ancient Egyptian Sun God, had finally propelled him past the final threshold, elevating him to the Universal level—a being of true cosmic might. If Sky Father–level entities were considered the strong, then Universal-level beings were the undisputed rulers of the universe.
The Celestials, for example—who regarded the universe as their laboratory—were, for the most part, beings of this very level.
Reaching such a stage meant that, across the vast expanse of the cosmos, one could be counted among those who reigned supreme within their own dominion.
Unless faced with one of the few terrifying beings hidden deep within the void, Universal-level entities stood only a step below the Five Cosmic Entities themselves—and could even rival many of the Dimensional Demon Gods.
Consider this: some of the weaker Dimensional Demon Gods were merely Sky Father–level, while only the most formidable among them—such as Dormammu—could reach the Universal tier.
To describe the magnitude of this power simply, a strong Universal-level being possessed enough strength to influence the functioning of the entire universe.
Of course, Herman, having only just entered the Universal-level, could not yet achieve such feats. The gap between different beings of this tier was as vast as heaven and earth. Some weaker ones merely possessed the life essence of that level without the corresponding might to match it.
In terms of battle power, some were only marginally stronger than the peak Sky Father–level beings. Herman, however, was far from such mediocrity. Combat had always been his greatest strength—he was an extraordinary being defined by his power to fight.
Thus, though he had only just stepped into the Universal-level, much like when he first reached the Sky Father level, he was neither weak nor overwhelmingly strong. His current state placed him at a formidable balance—enough to stand against a single Infinity Stone.
And that was assuming the stone was wielded by someone at least of Sky Father-level strength—quasi-deities like Thanos wouldn't even qualify.
At this level, while Herman might not yet be counted among the top of the Universal-class, his strength already placed him comfortably above the standard of the Celestials.
"I'm still just a newly born Universal-level being—with vast potential for growth ahead." Herman was filled with confidence about his future.
Even setting aside his current identities, each still brimming with untapped potential, the [All-Seeing Eye] continued to grant him new roles and abilities without end.
For countless beings, reaching the Universal level was the ultimate dream—an extraordinary height they could spend their entire lives chasing, yet never attain.
However.
For Herman, the Universal level was far from the end. In truth, it was merely a new beginning. His capacity for growth was limitless.
"My current strength should be enough to handle most events on Earth."
Only now, having reached this stage, did Herman truly feel a solid sense of security within the Marvel Universe. As long as it didn't involve cosmic secrets, his power was enough to traverse the universe without fear.
In essence, the difference between the Sky Father level and the Universal level lay mainly in lifespan and power. Beyond that, there was little distinction.
Both were divine beings who wielded the laws of existence. If there was one notable difference, it was that in his Universal-level state—thanks to his Immortal Divine Soul—Herman no longer needed to fear that some mysterious force could destroy his very soul.
The Immortal Divine Soul was his greatest gain from this ascension.
Not every Universal-level being possessed this trait. Its purpose was to ensure Herman's soul remained eternal and indestructible.
Even if someone attempted to erase him from existence on a fundamental, reality-altering level—like the Scarlet Witch's "No more mutants" outburst—it would have no irreversible effect on him. No one could simply erase him from the universe unnoticed.
Even in the face of an overwhelming power disparity, where his divine soul might fail to resist erasure at the level of cosmic law, Herman could still resurrect from the flow of time itself.
The deep layers of the universe now bore his eternal soul imprint—an indelible mark that would never fade.
This, more than anything, was the greatest reward of his ascension.
Many multiversal-level entities lacked even such a defense, which only further proved how powerful and full of potential the abilities granted by the [All-Seeing Eye] truly were.
"My cheat ability definitely isn't inferior to OAA-level artifacts… it might even surpass them." Herman had already come to this conclusion about his [All-Seeing Eye].
By his estimation, it wouldn't be long before the next identity draw.
He couldn't help but wonder if, now that he had ascended to the Universal level, the [All-Seeing Eye] might surprise him again with something even greater.
Herman considered himself quite lucky, and he hoped that luck would hold until his next draw.
"It's about time I get something beyond Platinum-tier."
He looked forward to it with anticipation.
The dazzling radiance surrounding him slowly receded back into his body. The energy wings behind him dissolved, though faint traces of divine majesty still shimmered within his eyes.
His ascension was complete.
He had no intention of lingering in the cosmic void. In the next instant, he withdrew his divine presence entirely and returned to Earth.
"Hmm?"
Back in the desert, Herman immediately realized that something unexpected had occurred.
