Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Wedding Plans Begin

One bright morning, Fiona sat with Fina in the living room, going through a small notebook.

"What are you writing?" Fina asked, leaning closer.

Fiona smiled. "Ideas for the wedding."

Fina's eyes widened with excitement.

"Already?" she laughed. "You're serious!"

Fiona nodded gently. "We need to start early. There's a lot to plan."

Fina clapped her hands lightly. "This is going to be beautiful. I'm so excited for you!"

Fiona smiled, but inside, she also felt a small pressure. Weddings were not just about love — they were about organization, money, and expectations.

Still, she was ready.

Later that day, Jimmy came to visit.

"I've been thinking," he said as he sat down with Fiona and Fina. "We should get a wedding planner."

Fina immediately nodded.

"Yes! That's a great idea," she said. "It will make everything easier."

Fiona agreed, though she was slightly nervous.

"A planner?" she asked. "Is it really necessary?"

Jimmy smiled confidently.

"Yes," he said. "I want everything to be perfect for you."

Those words made Fiona's heart soften.

"Okay," she said quietly. "Let's do it."

A few days later, they invited a wedding planner to Fiona's house.

The planner arrived neatly dressed, carrying a file and a calm, professional attitude.

"Good afternoon," she greeted.

"Good afternoon," Fiona replied politely.

They all sat down together — Fiona, Jimmy, and Fina — ready to begin planning one of the most important events of Fiona's life.

The planner opened her file.

"So," she said, smiling, "tell me your vision."

Fiona and Jimmy exchanged a glance.

Jimmy spoke first.

"I want something elegant," he said. "Something that reflects class."

Fiona hesitated slightly before adding her thoughts.

"I want something simple… but beautiful," she said.

The planner nodded.

"That can be balanced," she replied. "Simple and elegant."

Fina leaned forward excitedly.

"Yes! Not too loud, but still special," she added.

The conversation continued, moving from decoration ideas to guest lists, colors, and location.

Fiona began to relax. For the first time, the wedding felt real — not just a dream, but something that was slowly taking shape.

After discussing many details, the planner brought up the most important question.

"When would you like the wedding to take place?" she asked.

The room became quiet.

Fiona looked at Jimmy.

Jimmy looked at Fiona.

This was a decision that would define everything.

Fina smiled, watching them.

"Come on," she said playfully. "Pick a date!"

Jimmy leaned slightly closer to Fiona.

"What do you think?" he asked softly.

Fiona took a deep breath.

"Soon," she said. "But not too rushed. I want my mother to be fully strong by then."

Jimmy nodded in agreement.

"That makes sense."

After a few more discussions, they finally agreed on a date.

The planner wrote it down clearly.

"There," she said with a smile. "Your wedding date is officially set."

Fiona felt something shift inside her.

This was real.

Fina jumped up excitedly.

"It's happening!" she said. "My best friend is getting married!"

Everyone laughed softly.

Fiona smiled, though her emotions were mixed — happiness, nervousness, and something she could not fully explain.

Jimmy reached for her hand.

"This is the beginning of our life together," he said.

Fiona looked at him and smiled.

"Yes," she replied softly.
