Song Liu knew the small, petty bullshit and the mean jokes couldn't last forever because Liang Xu was simply too much of a psycho bully to stay completely hands-off for long. He was right; the physical harassment finally started today, and it hurt like hell, seriously, proving that Liang Xu was done with just the mind games. It happened in the stairwell, a perfect place because there weren't many people around, which was typical of that sneaky bastard who hated witnesses. Song Liu was walking down the steps, trying his best to go unnoticed, when Liang Xu came up fast from behind him, not even giving him a chance to react or dodge out of the way. He didn't punch him or anything, which would have at least been honest, but he slammed his shoulder into Song Liu's back with all his force, making it clear this was no accident.
The impact from the big jock instantly sent Song Liu stumbling down the last three concrete steps, and he landed hard on the floor at the bottom, banging his knee and scraping the hell out of his elbow in the process. He lay there for a second, trying to catch his breath and ignore the sickening pain that shot up his leg, completely winded from the unexpected force of the attack. Liang Xu just stood above him, looking down with this cold, empty stare that was absolutely devoid of any actual human concern. "Watch where the hell you're going, Scrub," Liang Xu sneered, his voice low and totally menacing, "You're so clumsy, you should honestly just stay home and save everyone the trouble of tripping over you." Then he just walked off, laughing quietly with his friends who had appeared nearby, those cowards who always watched but never got their own hands dirty in the actual violence.
Song Liu slowly picked himself up off the cold concrete, his knee throbbing with dull, deep pain and the scrape on his elbow bleeding through his thin shirt. The physical pain was honestly nothing compared to the sickening wave of humiliation and the intense rage that flooded his body; he hated that he was so physically weak and small compared to that muscular, powerful Alpha-wannabe. He went straight to the nurse's office, but he just lied right through his teeth, telling her he tripped over his own feet, because he was too damn scared to admit the truth about the powerful prick who could easily ruin him even more. The throbbing ache from the scrapes was a constant, tangible reminder that Liang Xu was completely serious about his plan to destroy him, and the fear was now mixing with a bitter, burning hatred that felt like it might consume him entirely.
