Liang Xu was literally the king of everything, man, and he knew it. He was the most popular guy in the whole fucking county, no question. He was ridiculously handsome, drove a stupid expensive car, and came from a family that had so much money it was sickening. He was the star on the school swimming team, the fastest swimmer, and he was one of those annoying bastards who got good grades without even having to try. The universe just totally loved this prick, but his biggest defining feature was definitely being a cold, calculating bully. Right now, he was dating Emily, the girl that poor, stupid Song Liu had been idiot enough to try and make a move on. That was a fatal error, seriously.
It took a couple of days for the news to travel through the school's nasty gossip network. Song Liu was praying he'd been totally forgotten, but that was just pathetic wishful thinking on his part. Then, one of Emily's super annoying, loudmouthed friend a total nuisance named Chloe came running up to Liang Xu at their usual lunch spot. She was all breathless and excited to spill the dirt about the sheer audacity of Song Liu's pathetic little love confession to his girlfriend. She couldn't wait to see the inevitable destruction.
As soon as the words "that nerd," "love letter," and "Emily" hit his ears, something in Liang Xu just completely snapped. He went absolutely berserk. His face went dark immediately, his perfect, handsome smile vanished, and his eyes got this scary, cold look in them that could seriously freeze a person solid. He slammed his expensive plastic tray down on the table, making everyone jump and go silent. Dead silence. How the hell did that miserable, poverty-stricken scrub think he had the right to even look in the direction of his property? It was like a bug trying to attack a king.
This wasn't just about a girl; this was a massive, public insult to his pride, his image, and his family's high-class status, and it was the kind of unforgivable transgression that demanded extreme payback. Liang Xu knew he had to destroy this threat. He was the Alpha of this school, and Song Liu was nothing but a low-class worm who needed to be crushed under his heel. He literally felt superior to Song Liu just breathing the same air.
Liang Xu was instantly filled with a deep, boiling rage. He decided right then and there that Song Liu had to be crushed, completely and totally ruined, for his sheer arrogance and lack of self-awareness. He told his posse, "That piece of trash is going to learn exactly what happens when you cross me." He didn't even care if they were loud; he wanted his entire circle to hear the clear promise of pain that was about to be delivered.
But he wasn't going to start the physical crap right away. That would be too quick, too easy, and honestly, a little boring. Liang Xu was a sadistic piece of shit who loved watching his targets suffer slowly, feeling the dread build up in their pathetic little guts for days or even weeks. He wanted Song Liu to know exactly what was coming every single day he came to school, to feel the emotional pressure building up before the actual beatdown started. He wanted the nerd to be absolutely terrified.
Liang Xu promised himself the revenge was going to be drawn out and fucking miserable. He was going to spend the next few weeks simply stalking that little worm, ensuring Song Liu felt the sheer, terrifying power of the rich bastard he had dared to cross. He was going to make sure the nerd couldn't even sleep at night.
He couldn't wait to watch the nerd squirm, knowing that he had just signed his own fucking death warrant by looking at Liang Xu's girl. The destruction of Song Liu's hope and peace was going to be the most satisfying thing ever.
