Chapter 5: " Check-in at Noble University"
As they entered the reception area, Nell was immediately struck by its modern and sleek design. The room was filled with natural light, streaming in through the large windows that overlooked the university grounds. The walls were adorned with elegant artwork, and the floor was made of polished marble.
A beautiful middle-aged woman, with deep blue eyes and long, dark hair, greeted them warmly. She was dressed in a stunning gray suit that accentuated her perfect figure, and her jewelry sparkled with subtle elegance. "Good morning, ladies," she said, with a bright smile. "I'm Isabel Alexandro, the Principal of Noble University."
Mrs. Lavender extended her hand, and Isabel shook it firmly. "Nice to meet you, Mrs. Alexandro," Mrs. Lavender said.
Isabel chuckled. "Please, call me Izzie," she said, her eyes sparkling with warmth.
Nell's mom introduced herself and Nell, and Isabel's gaze lingered on Nell for a moment before she smiled and said, "Nice meeting you, Nellie."
As they chatted, Nell noticed that Isabel seemed to be sizing her up, but she couldn't quite put her finger on why.
A woman at the reception desk handed them some forms to fill out, and Isabel excused herself to answer a phone call. The forms were straightforward, and Nell's mom helped her fill them out quickly.
As they finished, the receptionist scanned the forms and checked some records on her computer. "Ah, yes. You're all set," she said, smiling. "Your room number is 375, and it's located on the last floor."
She handed Nell a card. "This is your VIP student card," she explained. "It will give you access to all areas of the university, including exclusive clubs and events."
Nell's eyes widened in surprise, and her mom looked stunned.
Isabel returned, smiling apologetically. "Sorry about that," she said. "What's your room number, by the way?"
"375," Nell replied.
Isabel's eyes lit up. "Coincidentally, I'm heading that way myself. I can show you to your room, if you'd like."
Nell's mom nodded, and they followed Isabel to the elevator. As they rode the elevator, Nell felt a mix of emotions: excitement, nervousness, and gratitude.
When the elevator doors opened, Isabel led them down a long corridor, lined with doors to various rooms. Nell caught glimpses of girls moving around in their rooms, and she felt a pang of curiosity.
As they approached room 375, Isabel called out to a girl who was standing in the doorway of the adjacent room. "Close the door, Mel," Isabel said, with a hint of embarrassment.
The girl slammed the door shut, and Isabel turned to Nell and her mom. "Sorry about that," she said, with a wry smile. "Well, here you are. Room 375."
Nell's mom smiled at her, and Nell felt a surge of happiness
