Avengers. Fantastic Four. X-Men. Justice League. In this world, the titans of Marvel and DC actually walk side by side. Alliances shift, rivalries explode, and the balance of power tilts because of individuals.
And somehow, the moment Ryuuto crossed into this world, fate decided he would be one of those people.
Axville Mutant Academy.A haven built for mutants—teaching was secondary; mastering one's powers was the real purpose. Flames, lightning, phasing, telekinesis—students here bent the laws of nature before gym class.
Except one student.
Ten years ago, for reasons no one understood, the academy admitted a perfectly ordinary human. No mutation. No power. Just Ryuuto.
For a decade, he's been their joke, their punching bag, the powerless freak among gods.
Now, on his eighteenth birthday, Ryuuto sat slouched on the rooftop edge, chin in hand, staring at the courtyard below. His classmates were showing off again—one kid tossing fireballs like party tricks, another icing the pavement, someone else phasing through walls.
His lips curled in bitter sarcasm. Yeah, must be nice being born with a cheat code. Meanwhile, I'm just the DLC nobody asked for.
It hadn't always been like this. When he first transmigrated into this Marvel-DC mashup, he was ecstatic. He even had a system—Shion—who promised him the Hokage Skill Exchange System. With it, he could learn jutsu, techniques, powers to rival anyone.
But the damn thing had rules.
[Ding! User underage. Binding unavailable until Host is eighteen.]
And just like that, Shion went into hibernation, leaving him powerless for ten whole years.
Ten years of bullying. Ten years of being mocked. Ten years of sitting powerless in the Marvel sandbox.
Ryuuto glanced at his phone and muttered, "Oi, Shion. You swore you'd wake me when I hit eighteen. It's been ten hours already, and I'm still ghosted. Don't tell me you overslept, you lazy piece of code."
As if fate enjoyed kicking him when he was down, a sleek car pulled up at the school gates. Out stepped a broad-shouldered man in a leather jacket—Wolverine. Beside him, a hooded girl—Rogue.
Ryuuto's chest tightened. Once, he'd dreamed of standing shoulder to shoulder with legends like Wolverine, Superman, Thor, Spider-Man. Instead, he was weaker than the freshmen mutants throwing snowballs in the yard.
If I had to do this all over again, I'd rather reincarnate in hell than rot here another decade.
[Ding! System rebooting…]
The familiar voice jolted through his head.
Ryuuto's eyes burned. He wanted to laugh, cry, and swear all at once. Rebooting? You've been napping for ten freakin' years, Shion! That's not rebooting, that's a coma!
[System restart complete! Host detected. Begin soul binding with Hokage Exchange System?]
Ryuuto sprang to his feet, fists clenched. "Hell yes I'm binding! I've been waiting my whole damn life for this!"
His shout echoed across the courtyard. Students below froze and looked up—Wolverine, Rogue, and even the smug firestarter Pyro.
"Who's that?" Rogue whispered.
Pyro sneered, voice loud enough for everyone to hear. "That's the school's resident joke. Supposed mutant with zero powers. His only ability is stuffing his face. Honestly, he should just jump and save us the embarrassment."
Rogue frowned. "This place is supposed to be equal. Why treat him like trash?"
Pyro smirked. "Equality? Please. Power rules everything. He's trash, and trash burns easy. If the superhero teams ever go to war, he'll be the first body on the pile."
The rooftop wasn't high, but every word cut like a blade.
Ryuuto's jaw tightened. He burned the moment into memory. Pyro, you loudmouthed bastard… The second this system works, you're first on my kill list. No, screw that—you're getting stomped twice.
[Soul Binding Complete.]
For a second, nothing changed. No lightning, no sudden muscles, no glowing aura. Just the same powerless body he'd always had.
Ryuuto's eye twitched. Wait. Don't tell me I've been scammed by my own system…
Shion's voice yawned lazily in his head.
[Newbie Package issued. Open it already, Host.]
His heart jumped. Finally—loot box time!
He willed it open.
[Congratulations, Host. You have obtained: Rock Lee Data Package. Would you like to activate it now?]
Ryuuto froze."…Wait. Rock Lee? Of all people—you gave me the green spandex dropout?!"
