"I…" Harry hesitated, not knowing where to begin.
"Sit down, we can talk slowly," Dada said with a smile.
Harry slowly sat on a nearby chair, and after a moment of silence, he said, "I don't know why that glass disappeared, it's just… it's just that when I'm in danger or extremely angry, strange things often happen."
"Oh? Are there any other strange things?" Dada asked thoughtfully.
Harry took a breath and glanced at Dada.
"Like, Uncle Vernon used to dislike my messy hair and just cut it for me, but the next day, my hair would grow back. You should still remember those things, right?" Harry said slowly.
Dada nodded; there was indeed such an incident. No matter how short they cut Harry's hair, new hair would always grow back the next day.
"So, I'm also very curious about what exactly is going on."
Harry shrugged.
He was telling the truth; although he often fantasized about possessing powerful abilities, he knew it was probably just his imagination.
Dada said nothing.
He could tell that Harry was indeed not lying, which meant he truly didn't know what these things meant.
"Alright."
Dada didn't press further and slowly stood up.
Since he couldn't get any answers, Dada didn't force it.
His most important task now was to adapt to his body and simultaneously digest the extraordinary characteristics within him.
Of course, he also needed to lose all this fat.
As he passed Harry, Dada raised his hand and patted Harry's shoulder. This action made Harry instinctively flinch, but Dada's hand still landed on his shoulder.
To Harry's surprise, Dada didn't pat him hard, just a light tap.
"What I did before was wrong. I won't bully you anymore."
Dada finished speaking and walked into the darkness, disappearing at the stairwell.
"He… lost his mind?"
It took Harry a while to come back to his senses.
Was this still the Dada he knew?
He felt like Dada was very strange today, as if he had changed into a different person.
"Forget it. If he really lost his mind, then I hope his mind stays lost."
Harry shook his head, got up to pour a glass of water, and after drinking it, returned to his stairwell to sleep.
The weekend and Dada's birthday passed just like that.
What the two of them had to face next was the remaining short school term and promotion to the next grade.
To Harry's surprise, Dada actually did what he said; in the following month or so, he didn't bully him again.
Not only that, Dada even realized his obesity and started to lose weight.
This stunned Uncle Vernon and Aunt Penny, who didn't know what method Dada had used to make them accept all of this, and under Dada's persuasion, Harry's life became much easier.
For over a month, Uncle Vernon and Aunt Penny weren't exactly good to Harry, but they no longer spoke harshly to him as they had before.
This kind of life felt so unreal to Harry.
Summer vacation arrived quickly.
"It's been over a month since I returned from that eerie world, how pleasant," Dada said, turning over and getting out of bed.
He pulled open the curtains, looked at the sunny world outside, and a bright smile curved his lips.
After more than a month, he had adapted to his current life, which was the life that should have originally belonged to him.
No eerie gods, no evil monsters, only minor squabbles among classmates—this was childhood.
Dada looked at himself in the mirror. A month of dieting had been quite effective; he had successfully shed the fat from his body.
Now, he looked much more energetic than before, with golden hair, blue eyes, and well-defined facial features. He was much better than his previous pig-like image, even a little handsome.
"Hmm, next, I need to plan how to digest the extraordinary characteristics," Dada thought to himself.
The digestion of extraordinary characteristics relies on acting. That is, following the name of the sequence and doing things that align with the sequence name.
The two Sequence 9s he currently possessed were Lawyer and Arbitrator.
Acting out these two sequences was relatively difficult for a child of Dada's age.
The Lawyer sequence, as the name suggests, is best acted by becoming a real lawyer, thereby embodying the role and rapidly consuming the extraordinary characteristics within the body.
But Dada, an eleven-year-old child, obviously couldn't do that.
Arbitrator is similar; it's best to have a profession related to arbitration, which can accelerate the digestion of extraordinary characteristics within the body.
However, Dada currently lacked the conditions for these.
What he could do was to act as a Lawyer and Arbitrator in school, doing similar things among his classmates.
But such acting was still too superficial and perfunctory, so even after more than a month, Dada still couldn't fully digest the two portions of extraordinary characteristics within his body.
This was a bit slow for Dada, who had already reached a high sequence in that eerie world.
Therefore, he planned to find some part-time jobs during the summer vacation to complete his acting and fully digest the extraordinary characteristics.
Checking the time, Dada walked downstairs while thinking.
In the kitchen.
"Go fry the eggs," Aunt Penny told Harry.
"Okay, Aunt Penny," Harry said obediently.
Recently, his life at Dada's house had been good, and he tried his best to complete whatever Aunt Penny asked him to do.
"Oh, what a beautiful day, our little Dada is up so early," Petunia said with a smile when she saw Dada approaching.
"Honey, are you going for a run first, or are you going straight for breakfast?" Petunia asked.
"Breakfast," Dada said, nodding towards Harry.
"Alright." Petunia kissed Dada's forehead.
"Dad, Mom, I was thinking earlier, Harry has grown up, and that stairwell doesn't seem suitable for him to continue living in. Why don't we let him move into that small bedroom on the second floor?" Dada said casually.
Vernon, who was reading the news, immediately frowned when he heard this.
Petunia's face also visibly lengthened.
And Harry looked at Dada in shock, so much so that a wisp of black smoke rose from the egg frying in the pan.
"Just in case he accidentally breaks the stairwell by leaning on it too much," Dada said, shrugging and speaking lightly.
"This… Hmm, let's see his performance from now on."
Vernon hesitated; he felt that what Dada said seemed quite reasonable.
"Hmph, before the summer vacation ends, if he doesn't make any mistakes, I suppose I can let him live upstairs," Petunia said with a long face.
"Very good."
Dada nodded.
A clatter came from outside the door, seemingly from the mailbox.
"Harry, go get the mail!" Dada winked at Harry and said loudly.
"Got it!"
Harry immediately put down the burnt eggs and ran to the door.
