Chapter 26 – The Wisdom of Fanan
"Arrogant God of Consciousness, you are desecrating the great Preserver, Vishnu."
The Sun God, Saknas, the second most powerful deity of the heavens, shouted sternly.
At that cry, all the gods of Heaven snapped out of their shock and turned their eyes toward Fanan, their gazes filled with disbelief.
Vishnu—the Preserver God, one of the greatest of the Three Supreme Deities (Trimurti)—did not merely wield divine powers or even the authority of a High Lord God.He embodied the Supreme Law and Order itself, and under the will of the Supreme Spirit (the Will of Brahman), he could erase any deity.
Even the Primordial Elemental Lord Gods were no exception.
Vishnu was slightly taken aback by Fanan's direct question. What strength gave an Upper God the courage to speak to him like this?
But Vishnu did not grow angry.Instead, he patiently explained:"The Three Realms are newly born and still fragile. They require the Primordial Elemental Lord Gods to stabilize them. This is the will of the Supreme Spirit. Do you understand now, arrogant God of Consciousness?"
He was not angry, but that did not mean he wasn't displeased. Vishnu disapproved of Fanan's reckless behavior, yet with his broad and merciful heart, he chose not to argue further.
"We should return to the Palace of Myozhen, my love."
The Earth Goddess Ximi released her battle form. Her face was pale with weakness, and leaning on the support of the Tree King Mallinna, she walked to Fanan's side.
Fanan's actions made her feel deeply blessed.Especially in that moment when he nearly slew the Sky God Dayus for her sake—at that instant, she felt she was the happiest woman in the Three Realms.
She even sensed the envious stares of many female goddesses.
Now that Vishnu himself had descended, she did not want her great husband to suffer harm.
"What if I insist on executing the evil Dayus?"
As Fanan spoke these words, a ripple stirred in the sea of his consciousness—the origin of perception itself trembled, a sign that it was about to merge with Fanan's awareness.
"You leave me no choice but to—"
Vishnu's words abruptly cut off. His eyes widened in shock as waves of terror surged through his heart.
That familiar, profound aura? The breath of the Great Brahman itself?
Impossible! How could an Upper God carry such a presence?
Even if he were the first being born of Brahman at the dawn of time, it should not be so!
Brahman is the origin of all things in the cosmos—untouchable, indescribable, the undying one from whom all things manifest.
(Note: Origin here is not the same as Source.)
"The Three Realms are young, their foundations unstable. Under the will of the Supreme Spirit, the minor things may change, but the major things cannot. I hope you can understand this, noble Lord Fanan, God of Consciousness."
Vishnu's voice softened.
"Beautiful Lady Ximi, you too do not wish for the destruction of the Three Realms, do you?"
Huh?
What was happening?
Great Lord Shiva, please explain—what has happened to Vishnu?
The gods were full of confusion. They could not imagine why the supreme Trimurti god would suddenly become so conciliatory.
To face the defiance of a mere Upper God and not get angry—instead patiently trying to persuade him to spare Sky God Dayus? He even raised the issue to the survival of the entire Three Realms!
The Tree King Mallinna, recalling what Fanan had told her, secretly transmitted the message to the Earth Goddess Ximi.
Blue Star? The Fire-Linga Mark of the Supreme Form?Could this be the hidden card of Lord Fanan, allowing him to contend with the Trimurti?
Ximi did not answer Vishnu. Instead, she looked at her man—his towering back gave her a deep sense of safety.
"You have made me the happiest woman in the Three Realms. I am willing to give you everything, even my life, my love."
This sentence made her position clear. She was simply a loyal wife, and all her will would follow Fanan's.
Rumble~~
Suddenly, Mount Sumeru itself began to tremble violently, shaking the Three Realms to their roots.
Whoosh!
The great Creator God, Brahma, appeared riding his swan. His four heads frowned deeply, and in his gaze toward the Mortal Realm there was a trace of fear.
At that very moment, all the gods were struck dumb by the sight before them.
The black floodwaters surged across the entire Mortal Realm, dragging all beings back into the embrace of the Great Brahman.
Even the Myozhen Palace atop Mount Sumeru was being corroded and was on the brink of collapse.
"Go!"
Vishnu raised his Sudarshana Chakra, instantly cutting through the void and appearing before the palace, blocking the black floodwaters and shielding the Earth lineage of gods.
He even protected the palace of the Earth Goddess Ximi.
Fanan ignored the descending Brahma. Watching Vishnu's concession, he already made his judgment.
He calmed down.
Ximi was injured, with scars that could not be healed by divine power—but to him, that was no real problem.
To kill Dayus, however, he would have to use the Fire-Linga Mark of the Supreme Form. That would mean breaking his agreement with Shiva.
For now, his Linga was not entirely his own—Shiva had the right to observe it once every hundred thousand years.
And even if he did kill Dayus, Vishnu, following the will of the Supreme Spirit, would strike him down.He would then have no choice but to use his final trump card—one day of access to his true body's power.
Even if he used that, slew Vishnu—what then? The will of the Supreme Spirit would erase him, plunging his consciousness into sleep, waiting for the next kalpa to begin again.
Even if he destroyed the Three Realms, the result would be the same. Another cycle, another kalpa.
This was not what Fanan wanted.
He had split open his own head and entered the Great Brahman Primordial Realm precisely to find a way to master his own power. Now he had discovered a method to wield it for one day. Surely, then, there must be a way to wield it eternally.
"The Mortal Realm has already been flooded, its foundations weakened further, noble God of Consciousness."
Vishnu's tone grew urgent.
"I can spare the evil Dayus's life. But since he injured my beloved, he must remain nailed to the Heavenly Gate for one Maha Yuga."
(Note: 4.32 million years)
"And for letting the black floodwaters pour into the Mortal Realm, causing devastation among all beings, he must serve another Maha Yuga of punishment."
"Finally, since my beautiful and mighty Lady Ximi has the ability to save the Mortal Realm from its suffering, then the black floodwaters will no longer be the concern of the great Vishnu or the great Brahma."
Fanan stated his three demands in succession.
The gods were stunned, even the great Creator God Brahma was left speechless.
Vishnu was seriously considering his words.
But Fanan was not finished.
"Great Vishnu, I also request that you bestow upon us your divine conch shell. The beautiful and powerful Lady Ximi will have use for it."
