Just as Dane was heading to New York for his appointment, in the Small God Realm, Cortana arrived at the Atlas Temple.
Here, the Three Goddesses had been waiting for a long time.
Zatanna was also present, acting as their guardian to prevent them from doing anything irrational during this special period.
Upon seeing the arrival, Hespera, realizing it wasn't Shazam but his secretary, couldn't help but express her dissatisfaction: "He's not willing to personally fulfill his promise?"
Cortana explained, "Dane has more important things to do, and your agreement can effectively be fulfilled by me."
Before the war began, to ensure these goddesses would work diligently, Dane had promised to send them to the New God Realm after the war ended.
It was not easy to travel from Earth to the New God Realm. The Wizard Shazam could do so because he had, in a sense, died, allowing his soul to reach the God Realm through the Tree of Life.
But the Three Goddesses certainly could not abandon their divine bodies; they wished to enter the God Realm in their complete form.
However, the power of the gods could not transport them. Now, in the entire World, only Shazam could help them.
Dane could first transfer them to Hell, where the power of the God Realm could more easily take them away.
Upon hearing Cortana's explanation, despite their many dissatisfactions, Hespera and Calypso said nothing more.
"In that case, send us away as soon as possible! I don't want to stay in this place any longer!"
Although Dane had helped them restore the Tree of Life, he had not allowed the Three Goddesses free access to the God Realm.
So, apart from no longer gradually aging due to the demise of the God Realm, their lives remained unchanged from before.
They still faced the same unchanging scenery within the God Realm, and they had grown tired of it. Strictly speaking, Hespera and Calypso had grown tired of it.
They actually longed for the colorful life of the Human world more.
Although these two goddesses always mocked how terrible the Human world was, in reality, they secretly envied the Human world's rapid changes, the sense of anticipation that every day brought new developments.
However, given that these two gods had a history of misdeeds, Dane did not make an exception for them despite their longing for the Human world.
These two are very Old Gods, and their view of the World is exactly the same as the Old Gods; it's too late to change.
Dane did not want them to cause him trouble in the future by wanting to emulate Zeus with another World-ending flood when they saw bad things happening in the Human world.
Whether they could do it was one thing; Dane didn't want such a possibility, and he certainly wouldn't give them any chance.
We're not related, so it's not like I have your father's divine power and should actually be your father, right?
So the greatest promise Dane could make was to send them to the New God Realm to live with the Old Gods, and he believed they would be willing.
Hespera and Calypso were indeed willing. To go to the New God Realm and live with their father Atlas, they had no objections.
But there was one person who was different.
Anthea glanced at her two older sisters, and said timidly, "I don't want to leave here~."
"What did you say?" Hespera seemed to have heard her voice and couldn't help but ask.
Calypso stared intently at Anthea, then suddenly sneered, "Let me guess, why don't you want to leave here? Is there something here that attracts you?
Is it the unchanging scenery for hundreds of years, or this half-dead Tree of Life? Or, is it someone you're deeply concerned about?"
Hespera, hearing this, thought for a moment before suddenly realizing, her face instantly changing.
She grabbed Anthea, "Anxi, tell me, which man have you fallen for?"
Anthea lowered her head and remained silent, but her silence was also an answer.
Hespera felt a little dizzy. How could this be? How could this be!
They hadn't spent much time together at all, so how could she have... Wait! This couldn't be lust at work, could it?
Back when the three sisters were possessed by the seven deadly sins, the one that possessed Anthea was lust.
Anthea was a very young New God. When she was just coming of age, the New God Realm entered a period of decline.
Then the New Gods withdrew en masse into the New God Realm, which certainly spared her from the decadent private lives of the Olympian Gods, but it also meant that she didn't meet a suitable man when her heart first awakened.
And such emotions were suppressed deep inside, only to erupt when she met Dane.
Dane's power left a very deep impression on her, and after that, she never encountered another man who could give her such a profound impression.
Coupled with the influence of lust at the time, Anthea unknowingly fell into a strange emotion.
She herself wasn't sure what this emotion was called; she had no experience.
But Hespera and Calypso knew very well that the emotion was called "infatuation." They used to often tempt mortal men in the World in various guises for their own amusement.
"Anxi, he's not right for you!" Hespera, for once, genuinely considering her sister, advised her, "That man is very dangerous; you can't control him at all."
"But your taste is quite good. It's just, I wonder if he knows about your little thoughts, and if he'll accept them?" Calypso said with a playful smile.
Zatanna, listening nearby, was very annoyed. Are these old women acting like I don't exist?
Do you believe I'll have Cortana trap you two in hell for a few hundred years first?
But Hespera and Calypso's words did not sway Anthea's resolve; she had already made up her mind.
"I'm not leaving. I'll stay here forever. Perhaps one day I can often visit the World."
You can only go out if that man agrees!
Calypso nodded. She was too lazy to say anything more. She knew that once a woman was set on something, she wouldn't listen to any advice.
"When that man hurts you, you'll understand how foolish your actions today are!"
Hespera, of course, also understood Anthea's situation. After thousands of years, Anthea, who had always been a good girl, suddenly entered a rebellious phase, which caught her off guard.
But would she give up the chance to go to the New God Realm just because Anthea wanted to stay?
Of course not. They weren't disappearing forever. Hespera believed that Anthea would change her mind one day, and they would still meet in the New God Realm; it was merely a matter of time.
"Since you want to stay here, I can't stop you, but if you change your mind, you can still come back."
At this point, Hespera glanced at Cortana, who had been very quiet. She naturally understood what this New God meant and nodded gently:
"Dane's promise is long-term. Miss Anthea can decide when to depart at any time."
Hespera felt relieved. She took one last deep look at Anthea, then turned away.
Calypso said nothing, only turned with a half-smile.
Cortana immediately used magic to open the teleportation array. She had already obtained authorization from Dane for the Underworld, allowing her to freely open the doors between the two Worlds.
A flash of light, and Cortana, Hespera, and Calypso all vanished without a trace.
Only Anthea and Zatanna were left, staring at each other.
Because Hespera and Calypso had just almost undisguisedly exposed Anthea's little secret, she now felt a bit unsure how to face Zatanna.
But who would have thought that the other person didn't care about this at all? Zatanna directly asked, "Want to go see the World?"
"Ah? Can I?" Anthea asked in surprise.
"I'm in charge here now, I say what goes. If I say you can, then you can. Let's go!"
Anthea was pulled by Zatanna and stepped into another teleportation array leading to the World.
If her sisters knew she went to the World so soon after they left, would they be furious? Anthea couldn't help but think.
When she arrived in the World, she opened her eyes and found her first friend in the World standing before her.
"Mary!"
Metropolis.
Pandora, clad in a red robe, walked in the city's Shadow, clutching the skull-shaped Magic Box.
She walked on and eventually arrived at a hotel, which was the venue for LexCorp's charity gala.
Following the guidance of magic, Pandora looked up at the sky. High above, a red cape fluttered in the wind.
"I found you, Superman."
In Pandora's arms, the Magic Box's three eyes glowed with an eerie red light.
In the sky, Superman's gaze was fixed on Lois inside the building, while his super hearing was fully engaged, constantly monitoring his surroundings.
When Pandora spoke, Clark heard someone calling him. He looked over curiously and saw a woman he didn't recognize.
She was the only one in the vicinity who had noticed him. Clark flew down and landed in front of Pandora.
"Can I help you, madam?"
Pandora heard him, raised her hand, and held the pandoras box before him.
"Superman, you must open this box. The hope to end human sin lies within this box."
Clark felt this woman was a bit mystical. Opening a box to end human sin? Even when he was eight, he hadn't heard such an absurd fairy tale.
"Madam, are you feeling well?"
Clark began to worry that the other party might have some mental issues.
But Pandora completely ignored Superman's impolite gaze. Seeing that Superman didn't understand her meaning, she couldn't help but feel a little anxious, so she pushed her hands forward, thrusting the Magic Box into Superman's hands.
Clark instinctively took it, but the moment his hands touched the Magic Box, immense pain made him cry out.
"Ah—!"
