## Chapter 6: The Unexpected Invitation
Days turned into weeks, and I found myself looking for Sophia in the city's crowds. I'd catch glimpses of dark hair or piercing green eyes, only to realize it wasn't her.
One evening, as I walked through the park, I heard my name. "Just a guy!"
Sophia waved from a bench, her smile radiant. "Sit with me."
We talked about everything and nothing, the city's sounds fading into the background. As the sun dipped below the horizon, Sophia turned to me.
"Want to grab dinner with me?" she asked, her eyes sparkling.
I hesitated, unsure if I was ready to let someone in. But there was something about Sophia...
"Sure," I said finally.
We walked to a nearby café, the aroma of fresh bread and coffee enveloping us. Over dinner, our conversation flowed effortlessly.
As we finished, Sophia leaned in. "I have an idea. Want to join me for a weekend getaway?"
My instincts screamed caution, but a part of me wanted to take the leap.
