Davina's POV
Unwelcome Attraction
I couldn't fight it anymore—Irvin Jenkin did something to me that left my heart racing and my legs unsteady. Sure, his appearance alone could stop traffic, but it ran deeper than that. The confidence radiating from him, how he commanded attention without lifting a finger.
That dark, mysterious energy surrounding him... it drew me in against my better judgment. He wasn't just trouble—he was danger personified. Casually harsh, though not deliberately so. Like he had no clue how sharp his tongue could be, or maybe he simply couldn't be bothered to care.
Dinner ended with one crystal-clear realization: I was totally fucked.
