Davina's POV
I emerged from the dressing room, running my hands along the fabric of my chosen dress. The piece was understated yet refined—a deep hue that flattered my complexion and hugged my curves without crossing into provocative territory. This wasn't my usual style, but tonight demanded something different.
I approached the checkout counter, gripping the outfit I'd worn in. The sales associate's eyebrows rose when I murmured, "Could you wrap these up for me?"
Her puzzled expression didn't escape my notice, but she complied, carefully folding my original clothes into a tidy bundle. Those garments represented my finest attire. I refused to abandon them like worthless refuse.
